There is now an animal shelter operating within the city. We are accepting donations and volunteers. If you find an injured or homeless animal, you can bring it here.

[Attached is a picture of the shelter with the sign just out of frame. There are dogs, cats, rats, and some native species. Hector's also listed the address of the building, but not the name. Because it's awful. Blame Everett.]

trust me, if any bears come in, we're going to need a few people working together to handle it. but i'll have you call for venomous species if that's your specialty.

the best way to learn is through practice.

and yes, i founded the shelter. i had help with some of the paperwork to make it official. it keeps me busy, but i enjoy it. there is beauty and simplicity in the natural world.

Are you an animal conservationist?

[ He's just trying to get the sense for it in language he's familiar with from working with the Doctor. ]

in a sense, i suppose.

[He comes from a medieval world, where such a thing didn't exist as an actual concept.]

the flora and fauna of this world are just as threatened by the cwyld as people are, and i believe we should care for them as best we can.
