[ The voice that comes over is calm, if a but hoarse. Like someone who'd just got done doing a rather heavy amount of physical activity, running, jumping, climbing things. There's a slight wheeze to their breath. ]
It would seem the Coven has called volunteers to the Outer City. Seen some unfamiliar faces popping about, seeing to dangerous work. I don't doubt some of you might have heard whispers of The Crow.
[ There's a chuckle but... it's empty. Like a reflex, rather than an expression of humor or joy. ]
That'd be me. You may call me Eileen. If you find yourself in trouble, you can be assured I'll have your backs. A Hunter will Hunt, after all.
But I find myself curious... [ there's that chuckle again... ] Do you think this volunteer work will ultimately help? Do you think treating the sickness this way will actually make this city any cleaner?

[ recruiting a sidekick? or maybe she just wanted an excuse to spend more time with one of the few friends she'd made... ]

I can sense it...When do you on patrols?

... Perhaps I could make one for you. Crowfeather Garb wouldn't be difficult to replicate in this world, though it would feel slightly profane to do so, when you yourself are not a holder of the Hunter's Mark.

[They weren't showing yet, but the chitin on her back had...bubbled up. And she could move something inside of it. It was a very weird thing to describe. Like moving a limb that was under a blanket. Except the blanket was solid, and couldn't be removed. It wasn't like a blanket at all...]
That sounds like it'd mean a lot. [She's not sure what the Mark was exactly. But Eileen had mentioned the significance of crows.]

[ The Crowhunter Badge. She still wore it, of course. ]
But the other is... more difficult to obtain. It likely cannot be, within this world.
You saw it, didn't you? That thing within the Dream... Those things speak Words, inscribed within Caryll Runes, placed within the very mind of those that hear them... an Oath Memory.
[ Saying it out loud, to an outsider, made it that much more obvious just how... mad the whole thing sounded. ]

I saw something. I don't know what and it was hard to see. [All she'd know was Elieen telling her to move, and her instincts screaming out for her to do so. That whatever that thing was, she wanted nothing to do with it.
But despite how odd the words might have sounded before. They did make sense in a strange way. Partly because she'd heard a voice before. Not here, not in the dream. But back home, as the walls had fallen and for a split second she'd been surrounded by a night sky and sand.]
Runes? ...Like the things they use here?

They are the words of the Kin... Rom was one of them. She granted me Eyes, an Insight I had not known before. The man who trained me in the ways of the Hunter knew these words as well. He granted me the Hunter's Oath Rune.

So in short runes were pictures and words that went boom. Yes...Similarly, she could only guess that Eyes, meant something to do with eyesight.]
Is that why I couldn't tell what thing was? Because I don't have Eyes?
[Because it had just been a blur. Something moving in the mist that she had to get away from.]

That is more fortune than folly, I assure you.
[ She only sought it out in desperation, after all. ]
Well. It matters little. I'd gladly have you by my side, whether you bear the Oath Rune or not. I don't need a Great One's words to know I can trust my life with you.

...Thanks, though I don't think my skills are as reliable as they are back home. [Fae were strong in several ways, but not in the ways she'd been before becoming one.] I think you'd be the one looking out for me, granny.

[ Mikasa struck her as someone who had survived and adapted her whole life. This wouldn't be troublesome for her, she figured. ]

[For now, she was milling about. One day she'd be able to fight again.]
