As a Witch, I find myself requiring a 'Bond'.

[Mogget has no desire to experiment with pushing the boundaries of his ability to contain magic in this place, and feels it would be far more sensible to secure an immediate outlet. Working these communication devices with paws is an effort in itself, but he's managed to set it mostly upright and facing him.

Addressing the other Mirrorbound is a small white cat with green eyes.]

[Turnskins - even fuzzy skeletal ones - don't have any more inherent need to chase cats than they do chase squirrels or chew bones. But there's a little bit of that, and Papyrus is more attentive to the video than he might otherwise have been.]

You should bond with a monster, for a start!

I'm primarily concerned with the balance of my magic. If that has the effect of balancing a Monster in turn, then it benefits us both.

I'm sure any Monster seeking a Bond is more than aware of what a Witch offers to them. This is business, not pleasure.

[While the idea of Bonding with a Witch would make for an interesting study, he has no desire to use himself in such an experiment. Not without backup of some kind.]

I don't think a partnership would work out between us, in that case. I've been dealing with particularly unpleasant feral instincts, and even though you're a cat part of me might try to see you as prey.

Thus, you'll likewise find that Monsters are concerned—or, they should be concerned—with turning feral. You're correct that, potentially, finding that balance should be of most importance.

I will admit, that I'm interested in your suggestion. But I would also be interested in hearing more about your skillset.

Yes, well, I have a job I have to get back to, and I would definitely rather not die in some strange, foreign world, unable to complete it, or even give the person I'm doing it for any kind of notification that I'm not going to be able to accomplish my task. It's mutually beneficial, if you can't think of anything else. But if it doesn't seem it'll work out, I am alright with that; I hope you do find someone that fits your exacting specifications. [But he better find one otherwise, or she's going to come for him, no exploding Witches while she's around.]

These 'instincts' - I assume they are part and parcel of your transformation here.

Think of the question as a test. I'm interested to see what people say to it.

[Monsters, he knows, would offer certain augemtations to whatever magic he's able to learn. What those augmentations are are of some interest to him, naturally, but he wonders if most of these 'monsters' are even aware of what they might offer a Witch.]

I would have thought that would be the first concern of any 'Monster' here, as the first concern of any Witch ought to be the imminent risk of spontaneous combustion.

[That is not the case, however. He's discovered this quite quickly. Humans can be so sentimental.]

My skillset, as you put it, is currently minimal due to my recent arrival here. I have no intentions of keeping it that way, but spilling more magic in a well which might easily overflow did not seem wise.

I meant you're going to need to say what you want your bonded to be like. You'd have trouble if you bonded with someone who left the city a lot.

Part, at least. Everyone seems to handle their transformations differently.
