As a Witch, I find myself requiring a 'Bond'.
[Mogget has no desire to experiment with pushing the boundaries of his ability to contain magic in this place, and feels it would be far more sensible to secure an immediate outlet. Working these communication devices with paws is an effort in itself, but he's managed to set it mostly upright and facing him.
Addressing the other Mirrorbound is a small white cat with green eyes.]
If you believe you would have something to offer in that regard, I invite you to put it forward.

Mutual benefit is my first concern. I have no sentimental feeling towards the arrangement. Are you aware of what you're going to become?

[She's not looking forward to it, but... she also isn't sure if that's what it'll be.]
no subject
[One would think. Mogget has a cynical view of those who hold power and is in no doubt that the Coven could specify if they wanted to.]
Are you worried?
no subject
[Oh the horrible things she could do and use that as an excuse... ah, glory.]
Whether I want to or not, I'll find out, though.
no subject
[He has done some limited research so far, but... no, it does not sound as if it would be a particularly pleasant experience.]
Will you be alone?

Would you say that your presence will be missed? That is, assuming our absences are noticed at all.

[Laurel will continue, Heralia knows this. Moraster will knock Laurel on the head with his tail if he has to to keep things going. What Heralia is more concerned about is how wildly out of whack Laurel is going to end up going without her to keep her focused on the whole tearing things down to make a better world thing, rather than just... salting the earth after everything is destroyed and leaving no room for growth.]
So, if you're wondering, no, I don't intend to stay here, if such a thing is an option. It will be a temporary arrangement, for as long as either of us may need it.

[Specifically somewhere like this - did they even know the effects of long term residence in a completely different world? There might be something beyond the magical or physical changes imposed on them by whatever forces held this place.
Mogget considers things for a few moments.]
I have heard of a potion which grants a 'temporary Bond'. Would you be interested?
no subject
[She loves her home, and she's not shy about admitting to it, and that she isn't exactly enjoying being away from it.]
Ohhh, a bit of a sample before committing? Certainly, I am willing for it if you are!
no subject
And it would make for a fine way to test the effects of these Bonds.]
Very well. Consider me willing.

[For Mogget, the Coven is just another tool to be utilised. Useful, at least until they try to get in his way.]
Do you desire company in obtaining them?
no subject
[Quicker in, quicker out. She's all about doing this asap.] As long as you have nothing else pressing to do.
[She's not quite sure what a cat could be doing that's so special, but... hey.]
no subject
No, nothing pressing. I'll meet you there.
no subject
[He can lie, honestly, she's not that plussed if he does.]
Definitely, meet you there.
[Look at her, just a small, cute, unassuming human that is totally a gigantic asshole, but she's one that would like to make sure Bonds are a thing that happen so she doesn't end up in the crossfire.
So there she is! Short and auburn-haired and with those funny gemstone-like red eyes of hers.
So maybe she's not 100% human.]
no subject
Or he just doesn't care. She can take her pick, really. All of this is a means to an end as far as he's concerned, born from a very real desire to not go into magic overload and combust.
(A ridiculous mechanic, as far as he's concerned.)
He approaches her in clear view and sits down not too far away, the tip of his tail flicking.]
So, where now?
no subject
She's... expecting a cat, and that's exactly what she gets. She can't help the little bit of her eyes lighting up, though because - come on, who doesn't love the idea of a cute little kitty? And then motions.]
Um, I think it's back this way. We can ask for more specific directions- Ah! You! [Hello, poor accosted Witch that seemed to have been bustling busily toward some destination that is clearly more important than here. Too bad, Heralia has their attention now.] Potions for temporary bonds - where are the alchemists that make that?
[A flustered reaction, a bit of now shoo to the tone, and Heralia giggles, and motions toward one of the wings.] That way, apparently. You come from a place where people have to have such a strange connection? I certainly don't. I don't think magic would've survived at all in my world if people were forced into contracts with each other just to use it effectively.
[Then again, just about everyone in Heralia's world hates each other, and the biggest magically-inclined races are the most xenophobic of them all.]
no subject
No, we have no such thing.
[One cannot really count the Abhorsen's connection to Death, or the Clayr's connection to Sight to be anything like what happens here. It isn't nearly as intrusive.]
But I'm sure, if your people had evolved with that kind of need, they would have survived it. Power isn't something so easily given up.
