Howdy. [Yeah, that's a good way to start a video. The man on the video looks relaxed, the watch propped up so most of his torso is visible. There's a shock of bright red fabric wrapped around his shoulders, and there's a cowboy hat planted firmly on his head.] New here, same as a lotta folks, and got a question.

[He adjusts his hat.]

Ain't gonna ask about any of this Bondin' business - been enough folks wonderin' about that. 'S a bit more personal to me.

[He raises his arm - the metal is a bit scuffed in places and it looks a bit... dingy, but it's functional. He curls his fingers in a wave.]

Now, I'm not anticipatin' gettin' into much trouble, but in the case I do I'd like to retain function in this arm. Was a bit too pricey to break, I'm sure you understand. Now, back home there'd be no issue, but the technology here ain't exactly all that familiar to me. So I'm asking if any of y'all would happen to know someone I could rely on, just in case of a worst case scenario.

[He tips his hat again in a salute.]

[ Well, the curl of the fingers are what confuse her the most. It wasn't some gold hand or still prosthetic weapon. Seems... real. The surprise on the Queen's face peppered with silver-blue dragonscales is easy to read. ]

Ah... I am not... quite familiar with the type of machinery your arm consists of, but I do have a recommendation that may yield promise.

[ Dany has been here for a year, of course she has garnered a list of useful names and allies. Friends, if they were being sentimental. ]

Their names are Percy de Rolo and Hiccup Haddock. They have provided many gifted additions to the city and frequent the forge outside the city walls.

[The surprise is noted - and considering the range of people he's seen in this place, not entirely unexpected. Seems to be there's all sorts of people here.]

[She catches that implication just fine, but it sits uncomfortably in her--and it shows in the way her brow furrows just a bit. Jesse's never been one to stay perfectly on the straight and narrow, but he was always, well... Someone she looked up to, at the very least.]

That's a bit of a long story. Y'sure you want all the gruesome details?

[She should really be more used to it. Maybe if McCree hadn't disappeared, she wouldn't have such a rose-tinted opinion of him.]

[Hey, at least he didn't fake his death like a certain somebody that was important to them both...]

Lost it in a fight. Guy had some wicked knives - like them Talon operatives in Rialto I told you about - and cut right through the bone. Nearly bled out then and there.

[A low chuckle.]

Didn't, obviously, and Rodriguez was able to patch me up. Ain't as nice or sleek as Dr. Ziegler's work, but it works well enough.

[There's an expression of concern that crosses Pharah's face for a moment, and then she sighs long and hard.]

You always were terrible at staying out of trouble. I should be surprised that there aren't more pieces of you missing.

[There's a small pause, and she looks almost hesitant.]

You could have come back. Angela would have patched you up with something better.

[Nevermind that she would have liked to see him again, and know that he was okay.]

[He wants to tell her she doesn't need to worry about someone like him, when that look crosses her face, but... He holds his tongue. He can't blame her for being concerned, and knows if the table's were turned he'd be just as worried about what she'd gotten into.]

I like to think I'm very lucky, an' too charmin' for people to want to hurt.

[Which is complete and utter bullshit.]

...I know. But I figured this was for the best.

["For the best." There's a tightening of her jaw, like there's something she wants to say, but she bites it back. Another conversation that's not really meant for a video feed. She's not even sure that she wants to have it at all yet, when all of her complaints about his disappearance boil down to... Other absences that are still hard to think about, let alone talk about.]

[She lets it drop for the moment.]

You're certainly something. Don't know if charming is the word for it.

[Bluff called.]

[It's fine, it's fine. It's just so many people in your life are idiots, but it's fine.

He puts a hand to his chest, mock offended.]

I'll have you know there are plentya people who enjoy the pleasure of my company.

[There's a twitch to the corner of her mouth, the beginnings of a victory smirk.]

Because I definitely don't have to answer that.

Y'sayin' we ain't friends any more?

[But the look on his face says it all - he knows he's lost this, and all he can do is try to lose gracefully.

Which he will probably fail at, because that's never been one of his skills.]

Haven't networked here maybe as much as I might should.

I've gone around to a few magitechnicians. Some are willing some aren't, but all will charge a pretty penny for it so I suggest saving up. I had a piece of equipment altered as well and it was not cheap, had to save up for a few months. Works like a charm so far so at least you'll get what you pay for.

Can't say that's something that's all too surprising. Seems most tech here requires more cunes than I think I can manage.

But I suppose I can try to save up. Thanks for the advice, friend.

I suggest buttering them a bit. From what I can tell, they're eager to work on new stuff to one up the competition and they have their work on display. Scout out which one fits your preference and then compliment their work, get them to talk. It'll still be expensive but they'll shave a few cunes off the top.

If you don't find anyone else, I'm pretty familiar with technology that advanced, even if I've never worked with prosthetics specifically.

[ so like... try to find someone who has worked with that first maybe. ]

Well, lost my tattoo of one, so reckoned I should splurge for somethin' familiar.

Any particular reason why you went with a skull for a tattoo in the first place, or was it just a neat design?

Friend an' I decided to get matchin' tattoos, an' we decided a skull was the most appealin' option.

Ooh, matching tattoos. [ she gives a half-smile, half-wince. ] That sounds like something that could either be awesome or something to regret years later.

[Mccree asked some questions, sure, but all of that is overshadowed by how cool a cowboy with a robot arm is. He even tips his hat at the end. Amazing. It's like watching a western flick except the guy is real and also here. At least Shinjiro (mostly) manages to keep himself from being a weird fanboy in his response.]

i dunno where to get the arm working but a guy i know got someone to rig up his mp3 player to work. i'll see if i can't ask him where he got that done.

Well now, that's a decent lookin' piece of machinery you got there ... ( Nico offers a lop-sided little grin: ) But it could definitely do with a makeover.

( She winks just the once before sitting up a little straighter. Business is business, right? Heck, maybe she'll even offer this guy a discount for having an accent that matches her own! )

Not to blow my own trumpet too much, but I reckon you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who knows more about cybernetic arms than me. I build 'em for my business partner, kit them out with all sorts of different, uh— "abilities", you could say.

WHOA that is super cool!! Wow!! I lost my arm once too, I wonder if I would have been given such a fancy prosthetic
