Say someone wanted to take up gardening but has never grown anything before. What advice would you give them to start?
[He's not bothering to add 'for a friend' or anything, and just vaguely hiding that he's asking for himself.]

I can handle weeds.

I'd hope so.
What are you looking to grow?

Oh, there's a plant here that looks a lot like strawberries. But the berries can move on their own, make sure which ones you get.
[Might have done that.]

Whatever doesn't die.

Might want to hurry it up before winter comes though.

You can grow flowers inside. So long as they get sun and enough water.

I would recommend being careful with what you get, though. Don't plant anything like mint or kudzu.

And I kept a catnip plant for a while.
[It may or may not have gotten eaten.]

the covens actually got some classes sometimes
monsters can go too but they kinda look at you funny
[Also he ended up having his eyes glaze over and didn't actually learn anything but he tried???]
anyway better to start with something kinda established instead of only seeds, especially if you dont got any magic to help it
then you can actually get used to taking care of it
they all like different kinds and types of light and water so talk to the person you get it from to figure it out
if you want fruit it usually takes a few years to start producing any but like people up there said, talk to a faun and they can kinda speed things up for you
or maybe like a witch who does plants

Uh. That's--I've been here over a year and that's still weird to me. What's the difference between them?

I'm used to getting weird looks from people, so i can deal with that np.
[He almost typed 'I'm a monster' but that sounded so weird in his head.]
I know some witches but dunno if they're any good with plants.
well one might be.

Noted. And what's kudzu?

Aren't they some of the more common monsters in Aefenglom? They're friendly, too.
[To the point where they'd even give him the time of day.]

pink honeysuckle is easy to grow. it's pretty and smells nice
[And the Aef-equivalent Tatarian honeysuckle conveniently hits her like catnip without being as incriminating!]
takes over like a weed if you're not careful though
un: ALPHYS
oh hey have you gone to the community garden yet? theres almost always somebody there who can give you tips on stuff!
no subject
Geez, there's a lot of things that'll take over if you're not careful.

Or asking, now you're aware of it.
