[It's somewhere around mid-morning on full moon day when this post goes up, Momo doing his best to look somewhat professional-ish while obviously sitting himself half up in bed with his head resting on one curled hand. He looks extremely awake and restless like he's been wanting to get up for a while, but the suspiciously tentacle-looking charcoal grey thing barely in frame wrapped around his waist is probably a giveaway as to why he's having to make the post from this position.]

I've been thinking about this for a little while, but with everyone sharing information on here about stuff that's happened before some people arrived or what Monster changes to expect and so on, has anyone tried to get that kind of "relevant to everyone" information into one place? I was originally thinking about the collective dreams we kept having, since those seem to be important but it's kinda hard to get details on the ones that happened before you arrived unless you know who to ask. But I've also talked to certain Monsters who seem to have had real trouble researching their Monster type, and having a proper resource with changes or abilities that don't come up in books as often seems like it could be really useful for people going through that.

[As he talks, another tentacle creeps into frame and tries to poke at his face. Without even faltering in his speech, he pushes it right back out of frame with one red-nailed finger. And then flicks another one that barely even makes it past the edge of the frame before recoiling at the reprimand.]

So I'm wondering what people think about trying to put together more information in one collected place like that! I think it could really help some people out, but it'd take a lot of work to put together, so it'd be good to know whether there's interest in both having it and helping out with it. Especially with Monster details some people might not know until they meet someone who's gone through that change already, since that's probably a little easier to gather...like, if you're a Monster, what was the thing that surprised you most about your change? Or was there anything you couldn't find out about before it happened? That question goes for Witches living with Monsters if you got blindsided by something too!

[There's a sound of movement and a grumble that sounds something along the lines of "sleep", as a human arm with blue nails drapes itself over Momo's side. Momo turns his head with an all too sunny smile.]

Ah, darling, are you awake enough to let me out of bed now?

[Silence. Momo turns back to the Watch screen with a worryingly innocent grin that reveals his long canines.]

Well, I guess I'm answering from here...and you know, it's so much easier to have a conversation like this over video or audio call! Just make sure you speak up nice and loud, I think being stuck in bed this long has done something to my ears.

[He says that in a very deliberate, faux worried tone, winking as he mimes clearing his ear with a pinky. Sure, it's an actual serious inquiry, but might as well make a petty attempt at gaining freedom by making sleep impossible.]

It wasn't bad. There seem to be a lot of them around, and I had the luck of running into a group of them, so I learned a lot by observation. I wonder if you could do some sort of interview system. Or a questionnaire.

[A thoughtful sort of noise, and then he speaks again, curiously.]

Have you thought of doing something for Witches as well?

Yeah, I have seen a decent number of them now that you mention it. Just haven't talked to as many. Interviews might be better than a questionnaire for this sort of thing, just because I'd be looking for stuff that's not necessarily common knowledge.

[Questionnaires as he generally sees them tend towards more focused and asking about some kind of existing information. He also might be able to see things in action in an in-person interview instead of asking people to rattle off their changes.]

The thing with Witches is that with the Coven, they've already got a pretty substantial, centralised resource for basic information. There's classes and everything, and the Coven library has a lot once you start splintering off into specific types of magic. So I feel like we've got a lot more of a support system than Monsters do at the moment.

[scowlish]

I don't know how good I'd be at interviews. I'm not really great with people. But I could compile information if you wanted something like that.

[The point about the Witches having the Coven to help them out makes sense, and he makes a soft 'mm' of agreement.]

That's true. I think it might be useful to have some sort of resource for people who need to find a new way to adapt their magic if they did it at home, but the Monsters are more in need for sure.

[A pause, and he makes another 'hm' before he continues.]

How are you thinking of going about it?

[yesdoubt]

Compiling information would definitely help too! I'm prepared to do stuff myself if I have to, but that and the writing would probably be better done by someone else.

[Momo can be academic when he needs to be, he just doesn't really like it and feels like it'd go better with someone who's more trained in that specific kind of area.]

This is pretty much an expression of interest, but from here I'm thinking of drawing up more specific stuff I'd be focusing on in an interview and then actually putting out a call for people to chat to about it. And getting some local Monsters too, since obviously if they've been living with it all their lives they might have info we aren't so clear on. Especially arachne, I don't think we have any Mirrorbound arachne anymore so I'll probably have to duck to the Underground and chat up some of the ones down there. Then I'll go into sorting through it and slimming down to what's important and putting it together into something easy to read through. If I can get other people to help out with editing and writing and stuff, that'll be where they come in.

Well, count me in then. For the compiling, I mean. Maybe writing too.

[Well, if you want something written pretty dry, anyway.]

That makes sense. I could ask my Bonded what his questions would be too, if you're looking for some things to ask. I imagine you probably have a Bonded to ask anyway, but if you need it.

Do you think the local Monsters would be willing to help?

[yesdoubt]

That'd be a big help. [Momo will take whatever he can get in this situation, honestly. Asking someone to compile something like that is fairly major.]

I can ask both my Bonded, yeah, but extra thoughts are always welcome. And some of the local Monsters will help out - people are people, there's always gonna be some willing to help and some not. I've got plenty of locals I chat to on the regular that I could raise it with, and if there's any groups I can't get then Momo-chan's full of charisma and I can get some new faces on board.

[Momo's information network back home would've been legendary if he didn't hide it from most people, so he's quite confident in his ability to gather help for this.]

Sure, no problem.

[A little hum of thought as he considers that.]

That's true of any population, yes. And I guess it's a bit reassuring that it's the same here as anywhere else.

[A tiny noise of confusion then, and-]

There's more than one person here named Momo?

[yesdoubt]

[Momo would've commented on the population thing, but he pauses at that question and then can't help but laugh.]

Not that I know of! But I refer to myself by name sometimes, it's just a habit from home. I need to amp up the cuteness for my job a lot back there, so that kind of stuff is part of it.

[It's not quite baby talk, but a lighter element of being intentionally juvenile that his fans find cute. If only they'd seen him do it after stabbing someone with a pen for threatening Yuki.] Anyway, yeah, even though things are a bit weird here, there's always helpers around. Just have to find them.

[It's pretty matter-of-fact, without any real judgement.]

I can't imagine having a job where being cute was important. Mine mostly relied on magic, which I was decent at. Anyhow, let me know when you're ready to try this.

We say "eccentric" back home! [Because Momo's rich and famous enough to be labelled eccentric and not just weird. He doesn't seem bothered regardless.]

It's an appealing to fans kind of thing. But I can definitely let you know when I start putting this in motion! I'm not sure how long it'll take or how busy things will be coming up, so I don't have a set plan just yet.
