[It's somewhere around mid-morning on full moon day when this post goes up, Momo doing his best to look somewhat professional-ish while obviously sitting himself half up in bed with his head resting on one curled hand. He looks extremely awake and restless like he's been wanting to get up for a while, but the suspiciously tentacle-looking charcoal grey thing barely in frame wrapped around his waist is probably a giveaway as to why he's having to make the post from this position.]

I've been thinking about this for a little while, but with everyone sharing information on here about stuff that's happened before some people arrived or what Monster changes to expect and so on, has anyone tried to get that kind of "relevant to everyone" information into one place? I was originally thinking about the collective dreams we kept having, since those seem to be important but it's kinda hard to get details on the ones that happened before you arrived unless you know who to ask. But I've also talked to certain Monsters who seem to have had real trouble researching their Monster type, and having a proper resource with changes or abilities that don't come up in books as often seems like it could be really useful for people going through that.

[As he talks, another tentacle creeps into frame and tries to poke at his face. Without even faltering in his speech, he pushes it right back out of frame with one red-nailed finger. And then flicks another one that barely even makes it past the edge of the frame before recoiling at the reprimand.]

So I'm wondering what people think about trying to put together more information in one collected place like that! I think it could really help some people out, but it'd take a lot of work to put together, so it'd be good to know whether there's interest in both having it and helping out with it. Especially with Monster details some people might not know until they meet someone who's gone through that change already, since that's probably a little easier to gather...like, if you're a Monster, what was the thing that surprised you most about your change? Or was there anything you couldn't find out about before it happened? That question goes for Witches living with Monsters if you got blindsided by something too!

[There's a sound of movement and a grumble that sounds something along the lines of "sleep", as a human arm with blue nails drapes itself over Momo's side. Momo turns his head with an all too sunny smile.]

Ah, darling, are you awake enough to let me out of bed now?

[Silence. Momo turns back to the Watch screen with a worryingly innocent grin that reveals his long canines.]

Well, I guess I'm answering from here...and you know, it's so much easier to have a conversation like this over video or audio call! Just make sure you speak up nice and loud, I think being stuck in bed this long has done something to my ears.

[He says that in a very deliberate, faux worried tone, winking as he mimes clearing his ear with a pinky. Sure, it's an actual serious inquiry, but might as well make a petty attempt at gaining freedom by making sleep impossible.]

This kinda sorta came up before. I know I've griped at least once about not being told much past "haha you're a monster I guess because you got no magic". Basically, the Coven could be doing more but you know..

Most of my changes were me being tired and sorta sick so a lot of people I asked just figured my body was adjusting to living in this world or whatever. By the time I figured it out like "oh wow, vampire I guess" it was kinda too late to like.. mentally prepare yourself for shit you gotta do being a vampire and all. It was lucky a friend of a friend knew what's up when I—.. you know... died 'cause obviously not everyone here is gonna know how to deal with someone going through that process.

So.. yeah, I would totally agree there should be like collective resources or whatever.

Yeah, Witches do kinda get let loose as far as finding out what magic we can learn and how far we can go with it, but there's still organised classes for that. Monsters pretty much get dropped in cold, have to dig up basically any information themselves unless they meet someone who knows about what they are, and even then they might not even know half of what they're gonna end up dealing with.

[Momo knows a fair few merrows and even then he has very little idea of what Yuki's change is going to entail beyond the obvious, despite doing his own research on the side.

The dying part...well. It makes sense for a vampire when he thinks about it, but it doesn't stop Momo from drawing a very audible sharp breath.] Wait, so you die as part of your transformation but you didn't know until it actually happened!? I knew info was hard to get hold of for Monsters, but if you're going to warn someone of anything about their change, you'd think dying would be at the top of the list!

[He sounds Extremely Concerned about this, to put it lightly.] Did you...recover okay? Is that the right word for coming back from dying?

[He knows a Witch who exploded, but he's pretty sure coming back from that works differently.]

Haha yeah, basically? It was kinda unclear.

No one ever straight up told me what was gonna happen and you know vampire "lore" or whatever all kinda works different depending on the story. I figured that if I was already having to deal with all the blood drinky nonsense that I must be a vampire now and at some point I'd just stop feeling crappy because I was done changing or whatever. Oh, and I figured out how to turn into a bat so really... just so many reasons to assume it'd just all fall into place on its own eventually without needing to die..

Instead it seems like you gotta die some type of way to be done with it. Some people probably go in their sleep or whatever. [ there's a bit of awkward sounding laughter here because whichever way you turn it it's strange to talk about it so casually. ]

I came back okay, yeah. It's just a dangerous time for everyone because you wake up.. you know... hungry. But oh man, I feel so good now so I guess it was worth it, at least? [ under these circumstances you gotta be positive or you're gonna go crazy...! he is attempting to sound reassuring, at least. ]

Can't really be too mad at people holding back though.. how do you tell someone who's dealing with coming here and also turning into a monster that they're headed for inescapable death?

[Normally he would completely ignore this kind of post, because even if he likes research, he isn't exactly a skald or anything. But he's just been helping Reynir with this exact issue and had so many conversations with people who had no idea about magic...

And, well, he'd liked Momo a decent amount too.]

This sounds useful, and I'd be willing to help. I was just doing a bit of research on Fauns for my Bonded last month.

How did it go? I haven't met too many fauns, honestly, so I don't have that good of an idea how hard it is to find detailed information about them.

[Most of the fauns Momo's met he's only met once or twice, so he hasn't really been in the position of needing to extensively research them. So he may as well get a clearer idea of how it went for someone who did need to.]

It wasn't bad. There seem to be a lot of them around, and I had the luck of running into a group of them, so I learned a lot by observation. I wonder if you could do some sort of interview system. Or a questionnaire.

[A thoughtful sort of noise, and then he speaks again, curiously.]

Have you thought of doing something for Witches as well?

[She's not writing given she's still in hospital.] Would I be one of those monsters? [Then a snort.] I can tell you what I've worked out so far... Though I think I'm growing something else now.

Was it that obvious? [Momo laughs. She'd definitely been one of the first to come to mind when he thought of people struggling to find information on their Monster type.] From what you've said, fae are some of the hardest to get information on, so it'd be a real help to know what you've learnt. Though I thought you would've run out of things to grow by now...where is it this time?

I'd been asking around for a long time. Did I tell you the local fae were useless? [They'd mostly just jeered at her. And she'd gained a nickname she didn't want.]

On my back, near my wings. I've got no idea what it is, but it's covered in shell so the other fae probably won't know either. [Because her chitin had been puzzling enough on it's own.]

Glad to see you in one piece! [ The night of the hunt was a rather harsh experience. Not everyone made it one piece.

Though there is a muffled sound of the opening door and a question of another person "Did you need something?" no, no, nothing needed. He gets the hint and tones down the loudness. ]

There were talks about something of this sort, yes. A good friend of mine used to host radio shows on the network. [ Said a bit wistfully ] Getting a few of us, that has been here the longest, to talk about the dreams, was one of the ideas.

Yeah, I spent a lot of time backing people up when I wasn't on healing duties, so I guess I got some safety in numbers? [He was bruised to hell and had more flesh wounds than he can ever remember having at one time by the end of it all, but he hadn't broken anything or lost any limbs, so he considers it a win even if he's still healing up a bit. That background voice makes Momo wonder if Caster ended up in hospital, so he isn't going to express too much relief for his own luck in not landing himself there.

He hums curiously at the suggestion.] That was...Sokie Undertown, wasn't it? I never met them, but I listened to the show since they seemed to be the only other Mirrorbound doing radio work. I could try to organise something like that since radio is my main gig here at the moment, but I guess my concern is that even then, people who don't listen to the radio or aren't here for the show would miss it. Certainly couldn't hurt in getting the info more out there, but I think having something more permanent has its merits too, you know?

[ The hospital was a place he had to visit, though fortunately, he is now home and it's not a nurse that's looking after him. ]

I see you've done your homework, yes that was her. If you decided to host it in this fashion, maybe there could be a permanent archive made, that links to all the discussions and abbreviate their conclusions?

[ And their numbers are dwindling. There are always new Mirrorbounds coming, but the existence of them remains a transient thing. Which is— mostly good for individuals. Many wish to go home as soon as it's possible ]

Not all of the Dreams seemed to be as important as others— but in hindsight, all provided some kind of information.

[Someone had to do it. It's less that she didn't pick up on the not-so-subtle suggestion to get the other out of bed, and more just it feels like an invasion of privacy to be looking into someone else's bed like this. Even if Momo was the one broadcasting it.

I've already been stuck in bed for hours after I'd usually get up because he won't let go of me! He always clings, but he's so delicate normally that I can rearrange him easily when I want to get up...but he has tentacles today and those are stronger. So I have to wake him up, and that's always been a multi-person job!

[Back home it was Momo and their manager ringing his phone constantly and/or physically dragging him out of bed.

Ahem. In that case.] In my experience, a call to battle is usually enough to get everyone out of their beds. But I suppose that does not work here.

A good forum would be good to use where everyone can come and put together what's been happening to them so far, changes wise.

Yeah, then condensing the information into something people could get on arrival, maybe? Or at least something easily available. I worry about just leaving it on a post on here since these aren't as easy to navigate back to stuff with as the kind of technology I'm familiar with.

Puca? That would be a hard change for me, I don't know if I could handle that...Yuki would be fine, though, he's already vegetarian. Maybe he could give you some recipe recommendations!

It sounds like a good idea, especially since we can't...depend on this thing for information if we want to backtrack. Maybe we can set up a place or use a more public place like the library to consolidate all of the information.

If he can, that'd be great. Might be better than eating dandelions for a snack sometimes.

[She definitely opted for audio so that Momo can't see that she's blushing a little. This is an awfully intimate glimpse into his personal life, and she can't help being a little old-fashioned about such things.]

I think it's a great idea, at any rate. I was lucky enough to meet people who were able to help me pretty quickly, but it's still a lot to process. I'm still a little new, but I'd like to help if I can. There should definitely be a survival guide to full moons...

[Momo does switch to audio when she does, at least, but he can't help but be a bit of a faux damsel ham when she asks that first question.]

That's right...I've been captured by a handsome sea monster, maybe I should just swoon into his embrace and wait for someone to save me...

[It actually sounds a bit like he makes a swooning motion when he says that, but he laughs a moment later.] Full moons do seem pretty intense. I'm not even a Monster, but I've seen enough living with two to think some kind of survival guide is a great idea. Speaking of, your bones made the switch okay, right?

[He was a bit tied up with the nuckelavee battle prep at the end of last month, so besides what he'd done to lessen her pain he hadn't been able to follow up as much as he would have liked, especially with how banged up he'd been himself after the fight.]

[She's not sure why she would have expected any other sort of answer from him. Everything he does, he does over-the-top, and she can't help laughing a little in response.]

A gentleman in distress, is that it? Do you need me to rush over there and save you?

[Of course, she's sure that's the last thing he wants, given how fond he is of said handsome sea monster.]

But yes, I think they did. There's no pain any longer, which I'm grateful for. Thank you again for visiting— and your offerings, of course. I was very fortunate to have so much good company while I was stuck at home. How have you been since I last saw you?

[Red Wine, too, is not looking his best. Between recently losing a Bond and being subject to the sway of the moon in very particular ways today, he looks about as restless and fidgety as Momo does.]

I was very disinclined to approach the Coven for anything after arriving, and I don't doubt that others feel the same way.

[Momo leans in a bit towards the screen. It's been a while since he saw Red Wine, but he almost has a radar for people looking worse than normal.]

How much did you know about what you were turning into before you started changing? Especially if you didn't really want to approach the Coven. [A brief pause, his eyes narrowing, and then:] Are you okay? You look pretty under the weather.

[Momo's just finished a reply when a zombie-like raised arm reaches to put the device against Momo's chest. Yuki, hair a mess, one eye half open, his cheek pressed against his partner's shoulder, makes a soft sound of protest at the continued efforts to wake him. Seems like they're working, sadly.

One of his numerous legs tightens around Momo's waist, and Yuki's fingers trail across that muscular chest until they find themselves sliding down the curve of the other side. He has a tentacle gripping one of the poor peach's legs, too, and it shifts to curl just above Momo's ankle as Yuki snuggles in closer. He's a miserable mess of legs, and frankly he's a little desperate for hydration when he's like this, but he still wants to stay in bed.

A sneaky leg--he's getting the hang of them--tries to ease the sheets back up over them both.]

[Momo has to bite down a laugh when Yuki tries to put the Watch against him - he was expecting a reaction at some point, but now he moves to sneak the device out to his other side so it's further out of Yuki's reach. At this point, he's planning to just put it on the nightstand so he can reach it relatively easily but Yuki's human arm's reach can't. Yuki's normal arm is at least something he's used to dealing with, even if the touching his chest makes him let out a self-conscious little huff.

The tentacles are less so, though, and he wriggles his leg a bit as Yuki lays further claim to it. It's the sheets going up that actually make him intervene, though, putting the arm that's not holding his Watch up as a blockade and turning his head to poke his tongue out at Yuki.]

That's the point, darling. If you let me go I can leave you in peace, and I'll even make you breakfast once I'm done!

[Which when Momo makes it tends to be something like salad or toast or sandwiches, because cooking is hard, but still. He returns his voice to a normal volume for now, but if his demands aren't accepted he's probably going to get loud again.]
