[It's somewhere around mid-morning on full moon day when this post goes up, Momo doing his best to look somewhat professional-ish while obviously sitting himself half up in bed with his head resting on one curled hand. He looks extremely awake and restless like he's been wanting to get up for a while, but the suspiciously tentacle-looking charcoal grey thing barely in frame wrapped around his waist is probably a giveaway as to why he's having to make the post from this position.]

I've been thinking about this for a little while, but with everyone sharing information on here about stuff that's happened before some people arrived or what Monster changes to expect and so on, has anyone tried to get that kind of "relevant to everyone" information into one place? I was originally thinking about the collective dreams we kept having, since those seem to be important but it's kinda hard to get details on the ones that happened before you arrived unless you know who to ask. But I've also talked to certain Monsters who seem to have had real trouble researching their Monster type, and having a proper resource with changes or abilities that don't come up in books as often seems like it could be really useful for people going through that.

[As he talks, another tentacle creeps into frame and tries to poke at his face. Without even faltering in his speech, he pushes it right back out of frame with one red-nailed finger. And then flicks another one that barely even makes it past the edge of the frame before recoiling at the reprimand.]

So I'm wondering what people think about trying to put together more information in one collected place like that! I think it could really help some people out, but it'd take a lot of work to put together, so it'd be good to know whether there's interest in both having it and helping out with it. Especially with Monster details some people might not know until they meet someone who's gone through that change already, since that's probably a little easier to gather...like, if you're a Monster, what was the thing that surprised you most about your change? Or was there anything you couldn't find out about before it happened? That question goes for Witches living with Monsters if you got blindsided by something too!

[There's a sound of movement and a grumble that sounds something along the lines of "sleep", as a human arm with blue nails drapes itself over Momo's side. Momo turns his head with an all too sunny smile.]

Ah, darling, are you awake enough to let me out of bed now?

[Silence. Momo turns back to the Watch screen with a worryingly innocent grin that reveals his long canines.]

Well, I guess I'm answering from here...and you know, it's so much easier to have a conversation like this over video or audio call! Just make sure you speak up nice and loud, I think being stuck in bed this long has done something to my ears.

[He says that in a very deliberate, faux worried tone, winking as he mimes clearing his ear with a pinky. Sure, it's an actual serious inquiry, but might as well make a petty attempt at gaining freedom by making sleep impossible.]

[And, truth be told, he hasn't gone through that many day to day physical changes, having looked more or less like a vampire when he got here... He can deal with that. It's what the full moon does to him that he doesn't like.

When Momo mentions a Bond, his jaw visibly tightens.]

No, I don't have one right now, and I'd prefer not to discuss the matter.

[Momo arches his brows a bit at that, in a way that says he's heard that once too often lately, though his tone is gentle.]

As long as you're not planning to not discuss it until something goes horribly wrong. [He's known Monsters running the line on full feral and Witches that got themselves blown up, so while he'll not pry in the immediate aftermath of losing a Bond, he might keep an eye on the situation.]

Anyway, I was under the impression vampires are pretty common, so if you had trouble getting information then that doesn't bode well for most other Monster types. One of the people I knew was struggling most with it was a rare type anyway, but it sounds like it's a pretty consistent issue.

[Red Wine, being of the opinion that whether or not he chooses to discuss his Bonded status and to whom is entirely his own business, chooses not to address Momo's first comment despite the well-meaning concern behind it.]

I'm of the opinion that information regarding what we should expect should be freely available from the Coven, not something that we have to rely on others of our own kind for, once we finally figure out what that is. [His opinion of the Coven is not a high one. He says the word like it tastes bad.]

We aren't all inclined towards reaching out to others for help.

I thought the same thing. There's some information in the Coven library, but you have to dig for it and you have to know what you're looking for. You're more likely to get general overviews than specific information, and it doesn't really cover the aspect of turning into a Monster.

[Since it's all existing research and the locals don't have to change form the way Mirrorbound do when they arrive.]

So I guess that's another thing I wanted to cover - what to look out for and how to tell what you're turning into, because that's just not a thing unless you ask around with Mirrorbound.

[The Coven's focus seems to be more on the Witch contingent of the Mirrorbound, and even then he doesn't know if they do that much to engender any kind of trust. At least, though, the ones of them capable of magic are given access to classes to develop and control it.]

It's a good thing to lend some focus to, since the Coven don't seem to care too much about it. [Bitter? Maybe a lot.]

Yeah, I'm sure they're busy with a lot but someone has to do it at some point. I'm kinda surprised it's taken this long to be brought up. [Momo tends to give people the benefit of the doubt, and he imagines the Coven has a lot to oversee, but he's also not going to let slide that it's still a serious oversight that needs something done about it.]

I will need a bit of help, especially with compiling and actually writing it. It's been a while since I've had to do anything academic, so I'm probably rusty.

[If Red Wine were more the type to rally strangers around him for a cause like this, he might have brought it up sooner. But... he's never really been that kind of person. It is, however, something that he has found to be terribly lacking and he is glad that someone raised it as an issue.]

I'm not an academic, myself, but I'd dare say I'm old enough to be able to lend some wisdom to the endeavour.

[And that isn't boasting - at least, not in his usual way. Age does bring some benefits, and no humans live as long as Food Souls do.]

I'll still take that. I dipped my toes in academia, but I had to drop out of university to pursue music, so it's been years since I had to write any kind of professional resource for anyone else to read. So anyone that might be able to help out with that kind of stuff would make things easier.

[He's largely just concerned he's not going to write it well enough for it to be a useful resource for everyone. Which is a bit flavoured by his general lack of faith in himself, but he really doesn't have a whole lot of experience with it.]

[Momo may not realise it, but he's one of the people Red Wine actually finds a little past tolerable here. Those people are few and far between and he can't put his finger on just why this particular individual doesn't irritate him, but he doesn't.

[Momo does at least have an impression that Red Wine might be a more introverted type, though he's fairly used to being able to get on with a broad range of people. He tries not to count his blessings too hard, though.

Joke or not, Momo takes it in good humour.] Volunteering always helps! I was thinking about ways to compensate people if they want it, but I guess it does depend a bit on how many people are willing to help out without it. I don't want to be unfair.

[He's not going to give someone anything huge to participate, but he is thinking similarly to some surveys in his own world that offer a small amount of money for responses.]

[Since being here that introversion has certainly reared its head. It's less what would normally be considered 'introverted' and more that througout his existence he's rarely needed to expand his social circle outside of a select group and is now finding it very difficult to do so.]

If it helps others to not struggle in the way that I did, I'd happily lend my time for nothing.

[Maybe a bottle of nice wine. It's negotiable, really.]

As I said - all I need is the when and where. I can write some notes on my own experiences in the meantime.

[Since he doesn't have to find compensation that works for everyone. He doesn't really know industry prices here for anything more strenuous than the survey-filling part.]

But yeah, I'll let you know when I'm moving forward with this. It'll probably depend on how lively things get in the next month or two, but once I've got a better idea of the timeline I'll follow up.

[Given the general trade-and-barter system in this place, Red Wine doesn't think that there would be a standard price to be found for the work that Momo wants done. It's just as well that most who want to help would do so purely out of kindness.]

[He offers a cheery, casual sort of salute to that. Given this was basically an interest check, he's very much unsure of the timeline at this point, but he doesn't want to leave anyone hanging too long.]
