Greetings, I have come to ask an important question. At least one that is important to one as myself. If it is of no burden, I would like to ask of you whom became monsters...
[She goes to take a deep breath and then slowly lets it out.]
How did you know what type you were changing into? How soon were you able to figure it out? And for the undesirable instincts.... How did you fight against them?
I still do not know what type I am and I cannot seem to stop the spread of the scales or the pain in my legs, no matter what I do.
Thank you for indulging one as myself.

[ the way he found out he was definitely turning into a merrow was pretty alarming: ]
Not too long after, I was trying on some clothes when a shark fin suddenly popped out of my back! Crazy, right? Things were pretty crystal clear after that. I had to pay them back for tearing that shirt up, though.
no subject
[She goes to sigh again as she really needs to stop scratching at her own scales.]
That is.... Crazy? I shall pray that the store owners were not too rough with you after that.
no subject
[ the store owner at least let him pay it off in increments, so it wasn't a big deal. ]
You said you were growing scales though, right? That's a Merrow trait. Can't say I know much about other monsters though, so hopefully more people chime in.
[ and on the subject of instincts: ]
I can give you the rundown of what Merrow instincts I get and how I deal with them, if you think it'll help?

[ "Easy" or more like freaking out but, you know. ]
As much as I get not wanting to give into whatever desires you might start having, you need to be careful because it can actually be a lot worse the longer you don't.
no subject
[Another person giving her that warning.]
But... I despise those desires... I want to hunt and kill but I can't! It isn't right to do those things. All life is sacred and having those desires... They are not natural for one of myself.
What would be the worse thing to happen if I don't give into those desires, my lord?
no subject
Animals hunt all the time to eat. As do humans, really. Now if you're talking about hunting because you get off on it, then yeah, I agree. But depending on whatever it is you find yourself to be, it's a fucking painful thing to deny those desires or urges or whatever you want to call them and you risk losing your mind. Which, for the record, means you'll end up hurting others anyways and maybe even yourself.

As for the instincts...well, none of mine are really that bad. I just have to resist the urge to dig up the backyard. Lan Zhan's favorite tree is back there.
Re: audio | un:wwxwashere
[Oh god, she wants to squee so much at the thought.]
I never got to see a bunny before but you are lucky to know what you were.
[Okay, she couldnt help but to giggle a little.]
Oh my, you have quite the naughty instinct. I almost pity this Lan Zhan.
no subject
Ah, well I've always sort of had that. And he always knew about it too, so he can't say he didn't know what he was getting into!
You mentioned scales though...are they like fish scales? Or maybe more like snakeskin?

But then I began to grow a mane and he kept getting feathers. And turned out I wasn't a harpy, I was a chimera.

How have you been handling it, if I may be so bold to ask?

I figured I would be that or a dragon as soon as I became cold-blooded, which was the first thing to happen to me.
...I'm sorry for the future loss of legs you'll have to endure.
audio;
[That was one of the monster types that Soren listed when he was studying her scales.]
I guess that explains why it is so hard to wake up in the mornings.
[But then he mentioned something that terrified her.]
I... I will have to lose my legs? I don't want that...
[This was scary... Way too scary to really think about.]
Does my lord know what I can expect to happen during this change? Will I lose my wings?

Scales on your legs..? What kind, you could be a snake or fish with that... [Helpful.]
voice
On my body, legs, and all over. They itch and hurt... A lot. I can't seem to stop scratching at them. But they feel smooth and soft.

That and pressing push-to-talk isn't too difficult once you know the correct button. ]
Hmm, well, your skin will likely be quite itchy until the scales finish coming through and settle. I know that there are some oils and creams that are provided to help with the chafing. Keep them clean. That sort of thing.
What sort of pain are you having in your legs, exactly?
voice;
[She frowns but since it was another female, she did feel better talking about her legs.]
They hurt to move, especially walking or running... When I force them to move, I always feel a tearing sensation going through them. It is as if they were meant to stay together. I don't want to lose them but it hurts too much to move them... Even when I stay on a warm surface.

[ He sounds rather... Not embarrased, per se, but put out, certainly. When people have called you a peacock you're whole life and then you start actually turning into one, it rubs some salt into the wound. ]
If you are growing scales and your legs are bothering you, perhaps you are turning into one of the snake-men... The Naga, I believe they're called. My half brother is one such creature.
audio;
I think that I would almost prefer to turn into what you are turning into than a Naga. But I would probably look stranger than I already do.
[She goes to think for a moment.]
If you could change into another bird... What would it be, my lord?
[But then she remembered one bit of information.]
Your half-brother turned into a Naga? Do you know if he?... If he will be willing to help one as myself?
