[ The frame shifts and stops awkwardly on a fairly attractive young man accompanied by lovely music in the form of squawking and banging, and it's kind of obvious this is an amateur recording with how shaky it is. His tweed waistcoat is a little singed and dusted up, but the little wink he gives makes it seem like he's looking straight at whoever's tuning in ( you... yes, you! ). There's something a little mesmerizing about that gaze of his. Maybe it's those grey, vulpine eyes.

He's also kneeling on the floor with a cute little pup wrapped up in his arms, daisies arranged in their hair and tail wagging. Poochie here is ready to play!! ]

Hey, all you dandelions out there. ♪ [ like there are no guys in the city, ] We're looking to find... uh, what was it? ... — forever homes! Forever homes for these cuties. It's a real sad situation, you know... the unrest going around after that really weird moon. [ and dream, ] Like there's been an increase in people just packing up and vanishing? I guess they're just not in their right mind, or... well, not to be a total downer or anything, but a bunch of these little guys need to find a new friend. Like Justine-chan here.

And you want a nice new owner, don't you? There's a good girl. [ he wiggles one of the dog's paws for the audience, ] Justine-chan's about four years old and super friendly. We've also got, uhm... Clarice-chan is pretty new, and there's a whole bucket of beckos that need a home... — I guess they're cute? Just hard to keep an eye on. And catch.

Ah, and it's not just the ones I mentioned. We've got a wide selection of critters. Hmm... I've got about thirty minutes to answer questions if you're looking to adopt a new best friend... and might be willing to swing for a little more time if a girl asks me to do it. ♪ [ this is his last day to make this work, anyhow ]

( oh gods, what nightmare is this, wei wuxian is strictly unable to look at the screen and turns it the opposite direction as he listens to the voice coming from the device. why does everyone seem to own a dog around here? they're all just so scary, please, get him out! he's not too sure what the male is advertising but the sound of one of them is mostly terrifying so he'll take a pass on justine-chan.

clarice-chan doesn't seem that noisy so he can guess it's something better than the former but the weirdest thing that's been said is a bucket of beckos.. don't know what those are either — but sound cute enough.

but ah, this sounds. perfect? not the pets but the way to get the pets even more easily! sure, he must have lost his handsome features in his previous body but he's sure that he can pull off a cute girl if he tries his best — so why not his best be today? undoing the red ribbon from his hair so that black locks fall down along his shoulders and back, he leaves to get a pair of oranges from one of his companion's hands to use and set within the chest area inside of his robe.

now he has to give a warm little smile, turn the screen back up perfectly while giving a sweet voice — sometimes looking cute has its perks. )

Oh, hey there, big boy ~

[ Hmm. 'Big boy' is a new one, but he can work with that. Justine's done with being good for the camera though, and so he lets her wriggle out of his arms and trot off to greet someone else. His cameraman's keeping up fairly well as Kaoru runs a hand through his hair ever so lightly, to like... maybe... accentuate his looks? Somehow? Sure.

And then, with a hand on his hip and an upright palm with finger pointing at the lovely lady who's paying attention: ]

Call me Kaoru. See anything you like? [ like him, or the pets, or ] Hmm... tell me something. I bet I can find you the perfect best friend once I get to know you.

( how adorable, can't say he hasn't played that card before when talking to a cute girl. wei wuxian manages though by keeping a smile on his features and he's never been so thankful to see that ugly beast of a dog leave from view. with a hum, he raises a hand to begin curling a strand of hair around his index finger. )

A pleasure to meet you, Kaoru ~ ( he coos softly, trying to be as casual about this as he can but he knows better than to give too much, it might look bad! grey eyes size up kaoru's appearance, giving way to the thought that he's actually interested in the person but eyes on the prize...

Ahaha, the beckos are really cute, especially Clarice-chan.. ( he bats his eyelashes, a curious tone drenched in his voice as he continues. ) I'd love giving them a place they could call home ~ ❤ ( keeping up his bashful personality, wei wuxian looks to the side as if he's trying to stop himself from looking like an embarrassment to the other. )

Get to know me? Ah! No need... This is about the pets more than anything...! ( isn't he a considerate young woman but right after, he speaks in a hushed whisper as if this is between him and kaoru. ) ...Don't tell anyone but I'm searching for my sister's birthdays so a few beckos and Clarice-chan are perfect... but if you want to help me find a special someone for myself, I'd like that..

[ Aw, cute. She's shy. Not everyone can be handle this kind of face-to-face interaction — right, right; he gets it. Something for her sister, though... ? He's kind of touched by the thoughtful gesture, and his tone softens up to match

Clarice-chan's a real good choice, actually. She's super into cuddling... well, that and she actually reacts to her name, which is pretty nice given how often she likes to slither off. It comes in handy when you don't have as good a sense of smell...

As for a special someone for you, well... there were a ton of stray pups we got just this week, I think? I'm sure every one of them's just as sweet.

( that's actually good to hear, he's quite charmed by the idea of clarice-chan's adventurous personality — laughing softly as he nods. ah yes, his sister would love this or so he hopes. he catches the tone in kaoru's voice, smiling at the adjustment and who's to say this person can't be a breadwinner in a relationship if this is how he works. slay'em, killa! )

Does she have a favorite spot she likes to be at or maybe there's someone she wants to cuddle up with ~ ( another perfectly timed wink. isn't it suppose to get cold soon? she's getting ready for the change in weather. while ready to give the attentive creature their deserved attention, a visible tremor runs through wei wuxian's body; his smile breaking as he becomes hesitant in speaking. )

( oh gods, get it together. gods.. no stray pups, no pups, none of THAT. which he shakes his head, a pleading look on his face and is that tears slowly swelling up in his eyes? yes. he has.. bad history. ) ..Anything else! P.. Please..! ( how DARE you make a lady cry, kaoru.......wtf.. is this why your friends hate you. :/ )

[ Uh, wait. Can he just rewind this encounter back a bit? His faces scrunches up with obvious discomfort over having made her cry, like... who knew his innocent suggestion would go this far? Ixnay on the dogs, then. His hands keep opening and closing like they're supposed to be gripping something.

He's got to turn this encounter around quickly... and luckily he just so happens to be a pretty good mood-maker; the best in his unit, even. It's a skill that's helped him out in too many ways to count at this point, and he tucks a lock of hair neatly behind an ear before speaking again, his expression sheepish and apologetic. ]
