[ The frame shifts and stops awkwardly on a fairly attractive young man accompanied by lovely music in the form of squawking and banging, and it's kind of obvious this is an amateur recording with how shaky it is. His tweed waistcoat is a little singed and dusted up, but the little wink he gives makes it seem like he's looking straight at whoever's tuning in ( you... yes, you! ). There's something a little mesmerizing about that gaze of his. Maybe it's those grey, vulpine eyes.

He's also kneeling on the floor with a cute little pup wrapped up in his arms, daisies arranged in their hair and tail wagging. Poochie here is ready to play!! ]

Hey, all you dandelions out there. ♪ [ like there are no guys in the city, ] We're looking to find... uh, what was it? ... — forever homes! Forever homes for these cuties. It's a real sad situation, you know... the unrest going around after that really weird moon. [ and dream, ] Like there's been an increase in people just packing up and vanishing? I guess they're just not in their right mind, or... well, not to be a total downer or anything, but a bunch of these little guys need to find a new friend. Like Justine-chan here.

And you want a nice new owner, don't you? There's a good girl. [ he wiggles one of the dog's paws for the audience, ] Justine-chan's about four years old and super friendly. We've also got, uhm... Clarice-chan is pretty new, and there's a whole bucket of beckos that need a home... — I guess they're cute? Just hard to keep an eye on. And catch.

Ah, and it's not just the ones I mentioned. We've got a wide selection of critters. Hmm... I've got about thirty minutes to answer questions if you're looking to adopt a new best friend... and might be willing to swing for a little more time if a girl asks me to do it. ♪ [ this is his last day to make this work, anyhow ]

[The dog, while cute, was pretty meh. On top of Suzu being more of a cat person, it's not even intimidating and cool enough to be a hellhound? The snake thing was a good step in the right direction, but that pattern is decidedly not very "rock 'n' roll" enough for her. She's about ready to close her watch and return to her day, but then---

Dude. DUDE. WHAT ARE THOOOOSE! THEY'RE METAL AF! Her eye practically twinkling with delight, all her reservations go out the window as she nearly slams her finger on the "reply" button.]

Oooi, Kaoru-san! Still got any of them becko thingies up for grabs? It's 'bout time I start amassin' familiars and faithful minions for my grand ambitions, so I wanna learn more...♪

[ Figures she'd be into the little satanic-looking creatures. Not that he's going to judg — okay, he just did, but like... anyway. Kaoru releases Justine to let her trot off, then he shifts right behind the bucket to grip it and tilt it forward. A handy-dandy magic barrier's been cast around the opening so that none of the little buggers can fly out. ]

Hahah... pretty much all of them need a good home. I don't know about them being familiars or whatever, but they're apparently pretty good at... learning tricks? Somehow? But hard to keep track of. Ah, and they mostly eat insects... which must be super gross for a girl, am I right?

[You know what they say about assuming? Well, rather than being grossed out, she seems even more intrigued, to the point she's failing to keep her volume in check---]

WHAT!? That easy!? Holy shit; then I'll be cuttin' a lot of costs if I catch the bugs myself! They sound like they'd be really good pest control too! [And watching them devour things lower in the food chain sounds like a really awesome time!!] I tried gettin' one of them big spiders in the Wilde to keep as a pet, but those little fuckers were too fast to grab. These little guys seem much cooler though!

You've got some really... interesting taste, Kuromori-chan.

[ Well, hey. As long as it makes her happy and the critters get a proper home. That, and this is at least cuter than a SPIDER of all things. Especially one that comes from the Wilde... enough. No more picturing it.

He's careful not to pinch with his claws as he reaches through the supposed barrier to snatch one of the more lethargic buggers. It's obvious he isn't all that fond of the activity though given how his ears tend to fold back instinctively, but he holds one gingerly for the camera regardless. ]

This is, ah... what was it. Barnabus? Bernie? Something like that. If something close to a familiar's what you want, then you might want to give this little guy a chance. Somehow he's really adept at listening to people's commands... more so than the others. Supposedly he can even arrange your next day change of clothing and responds pretty well to his name? Not that I've had a lot of luck.

[She's just gonna... execute selective hearing on his little comment about having "interesting taste." There were more important matters at hand.

Suzu practically leans towards the screen to get a better look at the critter, absently muttering its name to herself, almost like getting a feel for it.]

Barnabus... Barnabus, you say? [And suddenly, she straightens herself, laughing madly in approval.] FUHAHAHAHAHA...! Fittin' name for one who's gonna be the broken-winged "Lucifer's" minion! And a competent one, at that!

[Okay, that's enough boisterousness for now. It's now time for business, as she delivers her next words with a smug smile:]

I want the whole bucket, Kaoru-san.

[She is obviously not thinking this through.]

[ Barnabus is possibly the lamest name in history for a demonic minion, but if she likes it... there must be something to it, deep within the depths of creative expression somewhere. He rubs a thumb lightly under the becko's chin.

This might be his chance, anyhow. Yes... not just for the beckos. For himself. ]

The whole bucket? If you think you can handle it... — not that I'm saying I don't trust you or anything, Kuromori-chan. I can get things started so we can pass their ownership over to you, but we really need you to sign something before I can hand them over, so...

[ A totally-not-trying-to-get-in-her-personal-space smile plays across his face. ]

If you don't want to go through the hassle of coming here, I could always try to pull some strings and meet you... at your place? Bucket in tow, naturally.

[Wow, sure laying it on thick like whole milk, bud.

But on the other hand, Suzu's also insanely gullible, especially in the throes of elevated emotions. Which is to say, she neglects to even question the notion of Kaoru inviting himself to her apartment, despite knowing full well Koga won't be home for a good while, meaning they'd be alone. Well, horde of small animals aside, anyway.

Suzu expression softens a bit as she glances upward, a hand to her chin in thought.]

Mmm, you might actually gotta point there. We could see if they adapt well to bein' in the apartment, and if Leon'll get along with 'em...

[It'd be nice for Leon to have more playmates, especially with Koga not being at home... N-Not that she cares about her stupid roommate's stupid dog or anything, even if she feeds him right on schedule, takes him out on walks regularly, and occassionally play fetch---]
