[ The voice is a solemn one, if familiar to some. The statement is kept simple, as little else needs to be said. If you know, you know, you know? ]
If you were friend or colleague to a girl by the name of Zelda, you should know that she is no longer within this world. Her scent has left the city, and is not even in the outskirts beyond.
[ It probably wasn't strictly necessary for her to say anything. Even a little trite. But she knew Zelda was connected to the community. It mattered. But that was all she had to say, in the end, too. ]

was she bonded to you?
[And if so...]
do you wish to spar?

I do. Our usual spot?

[And thus they change themselves into more comfortable clothes and take hold of their wooden spear. Now they truly are a lancer with an actual lance.
Finally they arrive at the spot they mostly spar. Right outside the city in an area that is remotely safe and Shade-free.]
I figure it is not wise to harp on about matters we both know of. Are you ready?

She set Gae Bold into the earth, and spun her practice spear into position. Eyes narrowed. ]
A warrior is always ready, my friend...
[ Her friend... They really were. She couldn't thank them enough for allowing her this. She'd show her gratitude in her spear. ]

[Enkidu doesn't spin their spear around. They merely lower their body a little, hand tightening around it.
They may be of a Lancer class, they have never really held a lance. And if they held one it has more been them changing their body, making lances out of their arms.]
I have taken a defensive stance, I expect you to attack. Please do not hold back.
[It is wrong to keep it all inside. Especially after losing a bond.]
I won't break...

They simply weren't that fast.
All they do is dig their heels into the ground and use their spear to protect their chest.]

Hngh...
[Finally they stumble backwards and find themselves without a weapon.]
...heh...I am not that much of a lancer after all.
[Chains aren't lances...]
Do you wish to switch to hand to hand combat?

All they need is for Scathach to get close enough so they can toss her over their shoulder.]

Gil and I used to wrestle a lot...
[When she reaches for their arm, they turn away a little, using the space between them to press their hand against her chest. Of course Scathach might be a woman, but they also know she's a woman who is able to take a punch.]
...please give it your best.

I hear tell you wrestled for days on end. Let's see if we can manage that sort of stamina here, aye?
I am absolutely bad at writing wrestling things SO BEAR WITH ME
[They smile as well. Especially because they realize they need this as well. To relive a bit of what they used to do with Gil.
The second she attempts to grab their neck they mimic the same movement, using quite a lot of force and hoping it will be enough for her to lose some balance. Because, if so, they're definitely going to try to grab her waist and tilt her up.]
