( The video feed shivers into life to show a static image of a ceiling. This is Yazoo's second attempt to reach a family that he hasn't figured out isn't here, but he isn't ready to give up just yet! Sephiroth didn't make his Remnants that way, after all, and he has no plans to entertain the idea of being without his brothers. )
... Kadaj? ( A beat. ) Loz?
( The voice that breaks the momentary silence is soft and a little dreamy, his words spoken as though he's having difficulty organising his thoughts. He isn't pleased by the fact that he has to resort to this to reach his brothers: he's spent days looking for them, encouraged by the gentle pull of two more cellular signatures that match his own, and yet ... )
I know you're here. I can feel you.
( Eventually he'll learn that it isn't Kadaj or Loz he can feel at all, but until then? He's going to keep trying. )
Big Brother is with me, but— ( He thinks of the Sephiroth that he's slowly getting to know — a near stranger, nothing like the man he was in the splintered memories Yazoo holds in the back of his mind. When he speaks again it's with an edge of something like concern: ) There's something wrong with him. He needs help.
( The image finally tilts to show a young man with long silver hair, unnaturally bright eyes with slit pupils, and lips ever so slightly downturned with displeasure. )
... If what they say about Bonding is true, I need help too. I don't want a weak human.
( He leans in closer, his hair slipping forwards around his face as those strange eyes bore into the camera. )
Find me.

Plenty of strong humans too.
[ If you don't want a weak one! ]

Ooh, it's like that. ]
Could hold a competition. Get them all to fight you, winner gets picked.

Well, too bad! You were a mean jerk so you don't get none of this!
video.
( Yazoo just tilts his head, a hint of a smile touching the corners of his lips. )
Don't worry. I don't want you either.
video.
[ Sage doesn't even try to hide the teasing edge in her voice. Her mock pout quickly gives way to a toothy grin. ]
Better for me. I don't even want you anyway. My Bonded is way nicer than you.

People without Mother's gift.

( Don't worry though, my dude, most people are wrong about this one! )
But that's to be expected. How would you define weakness?

You need to specify what do you mean by 'weak human'. Not every world holds the same standard.
voice • un: y
( Unlikely, but. Who knows, perhaps it'd be worth remembering for when Mother returns. )

People of each world are different. They have unique abilities and adapted to their world's rules, sometimes even managing to bend them to their favor. [never forget the mages and their 'rules exist to be broken'. Besides Archer is a guy that managed to bend those rules through the sheer stubborness.]
Same goes for this world. Your body has been modified according to its rules and you should adapt to it.

( Said somewhat dismissively. )
That is the only kind of strength that matters to me.

Hey, you found one already? [a family member, he means.] That's great, dude!
[that the older sibling needs help, less so, but he still feels like that's something worth congratulating. it was easier to tackle problems with the people you loved, wasn't it? so whatever they were going through right now, he's sure that they'll be able to pull through. the anxiety of being separated is at least partially soothed like this.]

( ... This guy. Yazoo still doesn't quite know what to make of him, but so far he's been the least hostile, sarcastic, or irritating of all the people he's met so far. As such, his own response is mild instead of curt and frosty: )
The most important one, even.
no subject
[for all of his self-professed stupidity, it's clear that Styx really had been paying attention when they'd last (first?) spoken. it makes him even gladder for Yazoo to have found this particular family member. what a massive relief that must be.]
That's killer! You gonna look for your other bros together?
[or was whatever was wrong with his oldest brother too debilitating for that...he hopes not.]
no subject
( Sephiroth may have begrudgingly accepted Yazoo, but he's still a far cry from the man he was when his will dissolved into the Lifestream. The Remnant doesn't yet know whether this version of him has any interest in their full Reunion. )
He isn't himself. He might need time — I don't know if he can feel them, as I can.

[Wen Ning had assumed everyone became human prior to being turned into whatever else. Witches are still technically human, aren't they?]
no subject
( However ... )
But if I have to have one, I want someone strong enough to be worth my time. Humans generally aren't.
no subject
Whichever you are, you'll want the opposite, right?
[He's still new to this, but he's fairly certain that's how it works.]
no subject
( A beat. He's still getting used to saying that. )
A Witch would be preferable, yes.
