[It's Mettaton EX, on video this time, as is his element. He's holding the camera close enough at first to be a charming headshot, but as he pulls the camera back, it becomes obvious with dents and scratches that his metal chassis has been damaged. From the very moment he spat Eren's name, his smile's colored with malice.]

Public Service Announcement: Eren tried to eat me last night! Oh yes! I was minding my own business, out near the Wilde as any good Monster might, on his merry mischief-making, during a full moon like this... When suddenly, I was attacked!

Thank my lucky STARS that Mikasa arrived on the scene, my knight in glittering armor. Or else, I would have been rendered into incredibly sumptuous scrap metal. I'd love it if someone could give her a big round of applause!!

Since I can't.

[The camera is pulled back ever more. Mettaton is missing an arm, and sparks and wires emerge from its socket. Can't applaud without a second hand.]

If anyone so much as catches a GLIMPSE of his sorry tail, give me a hand, and tell him for me:

He needs to keep that tongue and those teeth firmly AWAY from others,
Give me my arm back,
And, he owes me money.

Eren, if YOU see this: Give me my arm. Also: you owe me money!

[It's voice cause...of course it was. Mikasa never used video, the one time she did it was upside down. BUT there was the sound of a biiig sigh and something hitting as the fae shoved her face into her hands. Mummbling into them.]

I told him to stop tasting people.....[Most of what Mettaton says is then lost as she internally yells about Eren and his comments about tastes and scents.

Then there's a moment of realisation, her voice becoming clearer.]

He still has your arm?

( Well hey, if it isn't that fabulously eccentric robot ... who seems to have had a upgrade since the last time they spoke? Neat! )

Yeeesh, that guy really did a number on you, huh?

( Although Nico looks far from horrified by the situation — in fact, she's leaning in a little closer to the image so she can get a better look at the frayed wires spilling from his shoulder socket. )

You do your own repairs? I know it's been a while an' all, but if you need help fixin' up a new arm I could hook you up for sure.

We all told him, at some point. I think.

[Mettaton sounds pretty spiteful, spitting that retort on a low voice. There was his whole thing with Fae that he scarcely wanted to touch upon... But this is Mikasa, and he sighs, offering her a smile instead, though it's fleeting. He glances away, then back to the camera.]

Well. Where else would my arm be, but with him? He tore it off! [In the sepia feed, his arm sparks some more. His neck, too, remains torn, and sparks fly from that as he tries to shrug. It doesn't much like movement.] Darling. Would you be willing to give me a hand...? You've already saved me. But you know him well. Where would he put my arm?

[Please don't swallow and consume his arm... Please just keep it, don't be digesting it... Mettaton has hopes, and they're not being kept very high. He just wants his limb back.]

And... how would I get it back?

I have, multiple times... [Which is worrying. Given him mentionting how the orphanage children tasted. And that she'd seen him eat multiple people... In short it did not look good.

There's a chirp from the fae, a yip from the puppy as she pauses to pet him.]

I'm guessing you checked where he'd attacked you and it wasn't there? [There's a small sigh. And seemingly that's all the fae has to say.]

[Because why the fuck would she plan anything on here when she knows people watch this thing. Especially when Eren was probably going to see it.]

The last time he stole something, he took it to his tunnels. I traded with him to get it back...

[Course...She didn't really have anything to trade him. Not that she'd be willing to part with. The last time had been a load of iron knives that were usless to her. And she wasn't spending money to get him something.

Because Eren didn't deserve to actually get something. He'd stolen it, if he gained something then he'd just keep doing it. Wouldn't he?]

[Quite the upgrade, going from rectangle-rabbot to android-rabbot! His ears rise, recognizing the username. A moment of appreciation for the sight of someone who is otherwise a stranger, he offers her a charming smile... while also being a complete mess. Yes☆

Nico's interest is indulged, and he turns a bit to give the shitty sepia camera a better look at his damage. The shoulder guard there is badly twisted, work done by powerful Dragon jaws.]

Who could blame him for wanting a taste of moi? I know I'm a flavor to die for. Not that Eren has discerning tastes...

[Unless his options are Fae, versus literally anybody else...]

As for my repairs. No, I don't! [He leans forward, eye bright and ears still upright.] And while my creator's here, she's... Well. My newly hybrid synthetic-organic anatomy isn't something she's... Ahem.

[Mettaton glances away uncomfortably, clearing his throat that doesn't physically need any clearing. He's a robot.]

I fully intend to retrieve my existing arm from Mr. Jaeger, as it's rightfully mine. But I could use help, reattaching it to a body that... is ever-so-SLIGHTLY touched by my organic transformation!! If you have any experience with that, you'd be a miracle in my eyes, darling.

[He didn't check there because he doesn't need to, and has item finding capabilities. It is not there. Eren has it, he's sure.]

His tunnels... Then that's where we'd better start! [He nods. His neck zaps with the arch of an exposed wire.] I've never been in his tunnels, but I remember you mentioning them.

[He used it to roast Eren one time. What an awful Dragon. Why are Dragons so terrible??]

But he deserves nothing in return for it. He took that from me! That's my arm!! [Mettaton's clearly outraged, his ears leaning back in agitation. He'd be gesturing wildly if he had a free arm to gesture with.] Surely, we can steal it back. What do you think?

[Yes! A theft. A theft where Mikasa would probably have to do all of the work, as Mettaton's rather... out of commission. But he's spiteful and resistant to the thought of trying to reason with Eren, wanting to give him nothing worthwhile. Stubborn and indignant, Mettaton doesn't plan to part with anything of value, even if that's his arm on the line.]

[She's silent. Thinking.] I can't go down there. There's too much metal, he sleeps on the stuff. [You know, knives. Not only did the metal burn on it's own. But they'd be stumbling in the dark with many sharp objects. They were also very likely to get caught.

But she hums still thinking.]

...What if we gave him something he wouldn't want? ...Someone told me about glitter bombs. I don't quite understand, but he didn't like it when he was given them. [We pranking hours.]

[hey, that is definitely a robot on screen right now! one that looks like it has piercings even, for some reason. Styx very faintly remembers Eren mentioning a robot that inexplicably had piercings similar to his own when they'd first met, and wonders if maybe this is in fact that guy. that'd be pretty cool.

...speaking of Eren. oh, uh. oh.

even before they'd bonded the drummer's opinion of his friend has been naively high despite the occasional carnage he'd been adjacent to. just attacking this totally inoffensive dude doesn't really seem like something the dragon would do to him, which leaves him contemplating how something like this could occur and completely missing most of Mettaton's explanation.

oh, it was probably kind of an accident. the full moon made monsters kind of loopy even when they had bonds, didn't it? Eren probably thought he was a lamppost or something instead of a person and wanted a chew. (did lizards eat tin cans, or was that just goats..?)

it's around this point that his brain finally tunes back in, just in time to catch a completely contextless request for applause. slow to catch sarcasm at the best of times, he blindly complies, making that the opening sound from his audio feed.

at least he starts talking before that could be interpreted as sarcastic in and of itself.]

He, uh, ate it? Doesn't that mean you've gotta wait a little while?

[for, you know...bowel movements.]

a world-weary sigh escapes him before he can even respond. what is he even supposed to say? Eren, you ignorant slut. ]

Sounds like his lizard brain is gaining more of a foothold on his actual brain. Not that that's any excuse.

[ he's so tired. ]

[The knife thing. He nods, but it's small enough that it might not be picked up by the picture quality of the camera. Her soft body would have a hard time navigating all of those knives, and... it wasn't as though his own feet, though possessing of a metal skeleton, wouldn't be similarly tender in the face of knives. His other body would have a much better time of it.

But all of that aside, Mikasa's already come up with another alternative, and Mettaton's already hesitating.]

Well... As reluctant as I am to part with my glitter. I can always have Had—... ... ... [...Mettaton seems visibly disturbed for the moment, eye wide and ears first bolting up, then flicking and angling back. He glances away.] Emet-Selch can make me glitter. It's a limited resource in this place, you know.

[The fact that they had glitter at all was pretty remarkable, and its availability was surely in part due to Mirrorbound fashion pushes! Mettaton seems reluctant to part with his glitter, anyway. One of those Puca's Share things, apparently. Sparkly things...]

[Even with her earrings, they wouldn't do much good against a knife. Maybe is she was holding it, but once it pierced the skin that was it.

She scoffs on her side. The recording crackling for a moment.]

I didn't mean we use glitter. It needs to be something Eren would want so he'd take it. [Sparkly wouldn't do it. It had to be something else.] He collects knives... [She'd mentioned that, vaguely. His den was filled with them.]

[Yes, any Monster could testify to the full moon frenzy that comes with the waxing sisters. If Mettaton were writing a callout post about himself, he'd be outlining the history he's had with blood and Witches... But he's not.

At least Styx clapped for Mikasa, humoring Mettaton. And at least he has a generally inoffensive bearing that doesn't strike him as mocking. He still starts off with a flat sort of smile, because he hates everything else Styx has said.]

If I were him. I'd hope and pray I didn't eat it. What a terrible mistake that would be. To eat my arm, and be unable to hand it over without invasive retrieval.

[Mettaton stubbornly refuses to believe Eren ate it. It's a goner, if so. Humans and their digestive systems... A fascinating thing, but right now, the robot hates it.

so. so cursed.]

Who can say...? He could be! It WAS the full moon. All of us Monsters fall victim to it!

[Mettaton pulls a crooked smile. He'd shrug, if he could. The video feed even jerks as he's holding it, as if he unconsciously tries.]

More importantly, he has my arm, and I want it back. He's not handing it over! He put me on read. The gall, to ignore me. I'm holding him accountable!!

[this whole conversation is exceptionally cursed, made all the worse by the unfortunate way that Styx processes things as a general rule.]

...you think you can reach all the way down into his stomach?

[he doesn't sound disbelieving so much as...unsure, but ready to be massively impressed if this is actually what the guy is saying. it's not really so impossible, is it? dude's a robot, after all, surely they must have extendo-stuff. but if they did, how could his other arm have fit inside Eren's stomach to begin with..?]

Mean, guess it's kinda different with dragon throats, yeah?

That... is concerning. Especially if you need to have your arm replaced. I doubt there's anyone in the city who can build a replacement at this point...

[ Saber frowns. ]

I'm not familiar with this Eren, I don't believe. But if I can be of assistance, please let me know.

[Oh my, she's done plenty of her own damage on the Galra sentries before, but they were not sentient. (As far as she knows... does she need to start reconsidering her robot murdering ways now?)]

That's awful! Does it hurt? Is it... do you have a nervous system in your body?

( Oh, yeah, this is definitely the guy. Nico can't help but grin at the way he talks about himself, and you know? She can't blame him: he has gone from being a rectangle with a flashing screen to an android that even has a fashionable hairstyle! Were she in his position, she'd think she was hot shit as well.

Anyway, she leans in herself when he mentions his "hybrid synthetic-organic" anatomy, and while that definitely falls a little outside of her usual wheelhouse? She's been attaching robotic arms to Nero for a good while now. In her eyes, this is an opportunity to polish her skills and tackle something new. )

Now, I can't claim to be an expert when it comes to the "organic" part, but I'm pretty sure I could give it a better try than most! I'd need to get a proper look at you first, of course.

( There's only so much she can see over the video feed, after all, and Nico prefers to get a real hands-on feel for what she's working with. )

But if you find a way to get that arm back, we should definitely meet up.

[ A steady breath... and something that sounds like a chuckle, but is notable that it lacks any joy, or mirth. ]
