soooo i know this place technically already celebrated its new year or whatever
but this time of year's more when we would celebrate it where i'm from ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
so it got me wondering what everyone else does for a new year ((⇀‸↼))
like when do you celebrate it and what do you celebrate with???
back home where i'm from, we usually send postcards
i try really hard to do them all by hand
but honestly it can get a little tiring (๑ᵕ⌓ᵕ̤)
so i end up using stamps for some of them
one of these years though, i really will do all of them by hand! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

Back in Marseille, the city hosts a ton of "cruise parties", basically these extravagant dinner balls out on the ships in the gulf. I was a little too young to attend most of them, but my parents actually met during one. They're considered quite romantic, despite the crowds.
I do remember one time I got to spend the holiday in Paris. The light show on the Champs Elysées was amazing, even with the huge crowds. I think that was part of what inspired me to practice the sort of magic I did...

did you like your hometown's celebration or paris better??

It was in the symphony of those lights you could say Shiny Chariot first started to glow.

That's so advanced!!! I dont even know where to find most of those symbols, wow... the last one is my favorite!! I only just learned about making little faces in text kind of recently...
Oh postcards sounds nice. where I'm from a few volunteer teams of fishermen go about half a mile out to the water to set off fireworks.... and everyone eats round foods for the day until midnight because it's supposed to bring good luck because they're shaped like coins? so lentils, umm mandarins, stuff cut in circles like potatoes and carrots and pork.... and the adults drink wine

but i don't think they've caught on as well as some of the simpler ones 。(*^▽^*)ゞ
that's ok tho! lets me stand out more
haha all of that sounds really delicious! we have some traditional new years foods too where i'm from!
do u guys have mochi where you're from???
no subject
Oh, yes! I mean, it's not really around where I'm from, like my home island, but I've had it when I was traveling! Its super yummy :-D
Is mochi a new years food where your from????
I think it would fit our traditions too because they are a little bit coin shaped !

but it's definitely real special for new years!!
haven't found a place here tho that makes it ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚

Hmm how is it made?
Im a good cook but I'm not very experienced with baking and sweets but Ive been trying to learn and get better because my best friend loves that stuff :-)!

(no idea how THAT'S made tho)
and the filling can really be anything
tho it should traditionally be bean paste
no subject
That sounds tasty!
You should share with everyone if you figure out how to make it so everyone can try!
Or, maybe we can all do it together! Making food with other people is really fun

i had a bunch of people over to make chocolates
it was a lot of fun doing it that way
