voice; @onni

Name: Onni Hotakainen
Date: January 10
Format: Audio
Note: He has painstakingly labored over the watch for a long time to ensure that everyone except Reynir can read this post.

[The post starts with a weary sigh, and when he speaks, Onni's voice is tired and calm and very nearly monotone. It's his usual voice, to anyone who knows him, but might sound a little weird to people who don't.]

Has anyone here had something inside them change because of a Bond?

[There's a slight pause, and the sound of shifting before he speaks again.]

Not something small. Something fundamental.

He's not my friend.

[The response is immediate, and Lalli's nose wrinkles when he realizes he should elaborate. At least Eldibus can't see that.]

He's my cousin.

[So much BETTER than something lame and unimportant like a FRIEND.]

I'll pass. I already know what I need to know.

[What a curious reaction to friend. Well, family was certainly better.]

I see. That explains the depth of your concern for him.

[His tone takes a bit of humor on.]

Perhaps a simpler phrasing is in order. You learn from your experiences. Your mistakes and successes. At least, one would hope you are open to the possibility of the unexpected. But I will leave you to your choices regardless.

[He probably won't respond again unless there's a direct question. But he at least would check for a response.]

Why do you care so much about if people are learning?

[Hmmm!! Sus.]

[Reasonable to be sus! And, since a question was posed...]

Because, if people are discarding lessons from their experiences because they 'already know what they need to know', [Seriously the utter disappointment in that phrase is palpable.] then they are doomed to repeat the same, tiresome past and never grow.

[There is a moment's pause in the recording, as if judging whether to say more.]

Can you really say you have found every new encounter, particularly here, has fit neatly into solely what you decided was 'enough'? Or do you just mindlessly beat it with a stick without a care for the resulting consequences?
