Does anyone have a knack for training animals?
Teleporting cats specifically.
[They've been particularly frustrating as of late. There's been an uptick in food and catnip thefts.]

troublesome.
What sort of cats are these?

There was an incident with teleporting kittens last year sometime. I was fostering and then it became a long term situation.

I suppose the best trick might be to lay down a seal on the house that dampens that specific form of magic.

don't think she's ever met a bear, actually.

I think she'll do fine then.
One of my familiars back home is a bear, so its interesting to see someone else is fond of them!

He's tied to my roommate, but I've become fond of his presence. The cats also seem to adore him too.

[ Is she excited to meet a bear? Hell yeah she is. ]

It wouldn't hurt to bring him food treats.
[He probably would, but she has to check.]

I'll pass this all along to Monika and make sure she feels confident to place the seals.

Aside from needing training, I mean.

They're lovely aside from food theft.

No, I didn’t. I already was looking after a cat, and Lady Edelgard had both a cat and a dog when she was here, and Marquis Vestra has a snake, and the two rats in his laboratory. I didn’t think the house would have room for another pet, though I did help to look after them when they were at the café.
I remember one who managed to teleport into the treat jar, but I was able to keep it safe after that by keeping the jar filled enough that there wasn’t room for them to fit into it. Maybe something like that might work?
[Before now, she hasn’t needed to think about the mechanics of keeping an ice box filled to the brim, because the café was fortunate enough to avoid having many food items that would interest a kitten who was still working out the teleportation thing, and also was not short on witches who might be able to rig up something.]

But it's definitely something to consider, thank you.
So you work at the Cafe? Ozymandia's?
no subject
And yes! Mr. Ozymandias hired me as the cafe’s Royal Cat Petter. [Yes, that is her real job title that she gets
a weekly allowancepaid to do.] I look after the sphinxes when I am there and I play with them if they’re not getting enough attention from just the customers.no subject
[Oh. Oh wow. There's quite a bit to unpack here and Sheva's glad this is over text because she's chuckling to herself.]
That sounds like quite an important job. Ozymandias is quite a master at petting felines himself. He's very good at giving them attentions. Sometimes I don't even have to lift a finger.
no subject
Oh! Are you one of Mr. Ozymandias’s friends? He’s very skilled at a lot of things! He’d be able to do a better job than I can if he weren’t busy with other things, like managing the cafe. But I am doing my best to meet expectations. And I will try to become even better at giving felines the attention they want, some day?
[Ozymandias has told her to be more confident in her potential and believe in the possibility of becoming as good as or better than him or anyone else if she puts in the work. She’s trying her best to follow that advice, but she’s still a few steps away from getting rid of the question mark of uncertainty.]
no subject
I am one of Ozymandia's bonded, so yes. And I am certain he wouldn't have given you such an important job if you weren't more than capable.
Even more important, the sphinx I am certain enjoy the affection they are provided by you.
no subject
Thank you, though. Mr. Ozymandias seems to think I do a good job. He's a very kind person, isn't he? You'd know better than anyone, being bonded with him.
