I'm seeking a permanent bond.

[Another one of those posts, though they don't normally come from someone who looks just like a cat. Mogget has done this before, though little came of it the last time and the person who had been temporarily bonding with him is no longer around.

Mogget shifts in place, his small paws planted together as he sits in front of the camera.]

I'm a witch. Familiars have suited me until now but I would prefer not to risk my magic becoming unstable.

[And that's it really. He doesn't want to explode, thanks.]

Respond at your leisure. I'm not looking for a friend. Think of this as more of a business proposition.

Finally ate your last Familiar, did you?

[ several long feathers are sticking out of the corner of his mouth while his hands are full with a spell. ]

No.

[He replies quite bluntly, and though his expression isn't capable of it his voice gives the impression he would be raising his eyebrow if he could.]

But it appears that you might have.

[ He huffs and shrugs his shoulders as he plucks one of the feathers from his lips with a newly freed hand. ]

Very funny. You know these are materials. Aren't you worried a Monster might see you as a snack?

[He takes a moment as if giving that serious thought. He is not, in fact, giving it serious thought.]

I think it would be a foolish thing for any of them to do, and they would learn that very swiftly.

[ Ah, right. Mogget mentioned he's a Not-Cat. Howl never got a straight answer as to whatever it is that he is, although he remembers Mogget making it clear that he's not a demon. ]

Do be careful anyway, won't you? I know you fancy yourself invincible, but Monsters aren't to be underestimated. And you are cat-sized, even if you're not really a cat.

[ Not Howl worried a little about his evil furry friend. ]

Because you're very well-versed in what I fancy myself to be.

[Mogget has come to terms with the unfortunate truth that he is not nearly as difficult to destroy here as he would be in the Old Kingdom, where the idea of killing him would be entirely laughable. He can die here, he's sure of it, and he has no intention of giving himself over to the experience.

Still, he's relatively confident in his ability to avoid it.]

I'm not intending to enter into any agreement with anyone who might see me as prey.

Intention is often divorced from outcome. I am simply asking you to be cautious, that's all.

[He makes a sound of amusement.]

You're concerned about me. You needn't be.

[Still...]

But the thought is appreciated.
