[It’s been kind of a long time since Sora has used the network to make a post. A really long time! But today is a special day and that’s a better time than ever to do it.]

Hey everyone! I’m Sora! I hope you’re enjoying the new Spring air right now! And Spring means that it’s my bondmate's eighteenth birthday! Happy Birthday to Vanitas!

[His long rabbit ears twitch.]

Actually- It’s my birthday too. We’re both eighteen today! I think in some places eighteen is a big milestone birthday, right? Are there any other birthday traditions you guys have in your worlds? I’d love to hear about them!

Vanitas hasn’t gotten to have a lot of real birthdays of his own before so make sure to send him a ton of birthday wishes for the birthday boy! This might be his second one ever? Huh, now I don’t know if I should give him a two-year birthday card or an eighteen-year birthday card. Either way, he's getting a birthday hat on his head.

With how great he is, he deserves eighteen years' worth of birthday wishes today. And a ton more after that. I hope you can help me out!

Point, I guess. Though I'd argue there's things worse than death anyway.

Oh, quite a few things. One of the cruelest things you may do to an enemy, in fact, is leave them alive to see what you've done to their plans and intentions..

[That! Is a tangent, and a grim one.]

Though are you speaking of your young friend or yourself? Is dying and returning so commonplace here?

[ Now that's also debatable. That only works in the case of someone that has grand designs. If it's Van, he'd let them live long enough to see how helpless they are to hold onto that which they hold most dear. Or, you know, just play around with them in general.

But there's not much call for that here. ]

I guess my question instead of answering yours would be: where are you from that death isn't such a permanent thing?

I must have conveyed something I had not meant to, if I've given the impression it happens at all where I'm from. Nay, tis a phenomenon that I've only encountered here, but I know not how common it is.

That's definitely how I took it.

As far as we go... Death and coming back from it is not too common. However death is not the only way to lose a sense of self. Not everyone is able to come back from that either so it might as well be a death.

Death of self does indeed qualify as a death; I wonder at some of these methods you know, mayhap we can compare notes. Might you explain them?
