For those that might be interested, I have through considerable effort figured out how to tweak these devices into allowing the display of color video and images beyond sepia.

Which I would demonstrate, save that this is a physical change to the device and requires me to put in several very small items to function. Thus if you have interest in seeing each other in color, I can be found at the Second Time's The Charm shop, which sells these communicators, for the next several days. Make an appointment. As I am generous, I will not charge for my considerable time and efforts in this, though I will not refuse donations. You will have to turn your device over to me for a bell or so, there's no way around it. If you refuse, you may purchase another, I can update that one, and you may turn in your old one for recycling.

Technically I can't refuse anyone who asks for my aid. But if you are rude, violent, or otherwise not on good behavior something unpleasant may happen to your device while my talons are in its guts. Try to at least feign civility.

[OOC: The first watch update is here, IN LIVING COLOR. Lahabrea absolutely must get his hands on a watch in order to upgrade it. While this interaction can be handwaved!! you may also come visit Lahabrea and have it done in person for delicious CR! He won't refuse anyone, and he'll take into account rude people at least making an effort at being polite. Upgrades are freeeee! Make an appointment (in this thread or inboxes or etc I don't mind~) and come get your color upgrade!

Although he didn't mention it in this notice, he's willing to teach others how to do this as well, so other people can do upgrades! If you're interested, find an excuse to ask him! I welcome any and all assistance; the more hands I get the faster I can do future upgrades too!]

Anyone with the willingness to learn, a steady hand and a basic education should be able to manage. I'm not a witch myself. Those with hands who can't easily grasp very small things might run into some trouble, but the creative can find ways around it.

Nothing, at the moment, save the requirement of politeness and civility. Lessons end preferably before I get annoyed enough to try to eat someone. I admit my tolerance for the younger races isn't particularly high, but that seems par the course for dragons in general.

I can allow for vulgarity so long as it isn't directed at me by way of insult. I understand for some it's merely ... colorful descriptors. Context is vital.

His best mortal one, at least - he's never had another. It takes a bit of pride swallowing to even accept the idea.. but he manages. He did make the offer, after all, and he would see it through. Who knows, perhaps this person would be amazingly adept.

The shop at least isn't hard to find, since it has a nice obvious sign and Lahabrea did mention its name. Inside it could be one of a dozen other shops that sell communicators, complete with glass cases displaying countless charms, watch cases, folios and holders of many designs and costs. Watches themselves might be pretty bog standard one to another, but that's what accessories are for! On one counter sits a jar labeled DONATIONS, beside it sits the shop's clerk, working on a sandwich.

He's very obviously not the one doing the work, that'd be the dragon up against one of the walls, with a table arrayed with countless tiny tools, focused lights and all kinds of delicate looking little supplies out. This is a bit of a different setup than he's used previously, as he's set out the entirety of a dissected watch in a neat precise row for potential examination while he works on another.

As Reno appears, it's not entirely certain whether he's here for an upgrade or an accessory. The clerk handles that though, putting down the sandwich.]

There are claw caps in this box. Talons are useful tools, no reason to not employ them. If you have any instincts related to thievery or hoarding, pray advise me of it before I bring out anything which may tempt them.
