[Connor looks decidedly irritable as he turns on the video, but not because of anything anyone else has done... he just doesn't understand how he was here one moment, gone for what felt like a minute, and then he was back and months had passed. Hank is gone, and he has to figure out who is still here. He also needs to see who has his animals, because he'll be damned if he's letting them go like that.]
I'm looking for anyone I know. Or who knows me... I'll admit, my memory seems to be somewhat faulty after my trips through the mirror.
[Another reason to be unhappy.]
I'm also looking for my animals, if anyone I know has them.
As for the people who I'm unfamiliar with- please feel free to introduce yourselves. I always welcome potential friends.
My name is Connor. I arrived with the first Mirrorbound. I'm a monster- a Merrow, more specifically. If there are any Witches out there who need a Bond, I'm sorely lacking and would appreciate it.

voice;
[Guess who is very happy to hear the android's voice again--it's this elf!
"Elf" being the operative word, because--well.]
I've got Trouble, and if you're still in need of a Bond with a Witch, I--well, I can offer. A temporary one, at least.
no subject
I'm glad. Has he grown much? I'm still not entirely sure how long I was gone for...
[Wait, what.]
You weren't a Witch last I checked. What happened?
no subject
[...And there's that. Frankly,]
My mirror called me back one night and spit me out as a Witch, a few minutes later. It happened to several of us in Mauiril, though most of the others I've heard of were Witches who became Monsters or Monsters who became another sort of Monster.
no subject
I'd know him anywhere. But to think I missed him growing so much...
[Well, there's nothing to be done about it now.]
That's odd. I've returned as the same Monster I was before. Do you prefer being a Witch?
no subject
Would you like me to bring him to you? [Better to reunite them right away, in Myr's mind, than prolong that sorrow any further.
Then he laughs, soft and rueful, at Connor's earnest question. Oh, he missed that.]
To tell you truthfully, I don't know yet. When I first came here I was devastated not to be one; I was born a mage and it felt like Talam had stolen the best gift I'd ever been given from me.
Now...I do miss being a Faun. It was comfortable; I was happy. [But he wasn't Made for either of those things.]
no subject
[He mutters it, sounding distracted, before focusing on the answer to his question.]
And you think it's temporary?
[He wonders what else is temporary... him being here? He hopes not. If all that waits for him when he "leaves" is nothingness, he'd rather be here.]
no subject
Oh--no, I'm quite sure I'm a Witch so long as I remain here. [No explanation forthcoming for why he thinks that, but.] I'll adapt in time, I'm sure.
[There's some quiet rustling sounds as he begins packing up whatever he was doing when he called.] How are you feeling, in all of this?
no subject
I'm... sad. Hank is gone, I don't know where most of my animals are, my house is dirty, and I missed so much time. I don't know how to handle it, if I'm being honest.
[He sounds dejected, sighing.]
And my memory... I don't remember everything. I'm not used to that.

[L doesn't sound as glad as Myr; he's had his clashes of allegiance with Connor. The android's chosen other loyalties above his own interests, and it perhaps prevented them from growing as close as they could have. Still, he's grateful for much, and absolutely recognizes this individual.
So few who depart end up returning. It's a blessing when it happens, if only because it's so very rare.]
It's good to see you back.
no subject
[Even if the details on their relationship are a little fuzzy, he remembers they weren't always on the best of terms.]
Thank you. It's good to be back... though to me, no time has really passed at all.
[Which is concerning at best.]
Are you well?
no subject
no subject
No. I need to see what exactly has changed, and go from there.
[Months... it feels like a blow to the gut every time he hears it.]
I've admittedly mostly been focusing on my house for now.
[If only because once he's out there investigating, he wants somewhere familiar to come back to that doesn't remind him of the time he's lost.]
What about you? What have you been doing?
no subject
[A pause. L has a way of sounding discouraging, even when he's not trying to.]
Your home is a good place to start. Were you able to secure the same one?
[He doesn't answer what he's been doing, at least not for now. He's always been a private man.]
no subject
Not to mention, other people he can ask.]
Yes, thankfully. The pool looked quite sorry for itself and so did the house itself, but I've worked on the pool first and am now focusing on the living room.
[He needs the pool above all else, so that he doesn't dry out. Sure there's water in other places, but the pool is where he considers to be safe. It's full of trinkets, reminders of Justine and the SQUIP and others who have long since left.]
