Does magic exist in your world? What is it like, and how do others view those who use it? If not, is there something similar to it where you are from?
With so many of us coming from different worlds, it would be a good idea for us to pool our knowledge and resources to figure things out. The rules might not be the same here, but having a base to start from is better than nothing at all, wouldn't you agree?

Otherwise ... it depends where this world or universe is, you know? And everyone else's, as to the how. There are whole worlds and planets in what some scientists where I'm from call the 'microverse'. To get there, matter has to be compressed to a certain point whereby the matter is forced through a nexus.
...But if it is magic, then I'm not really your guy.

I would imagine the sources are linked to the mirrors we stepped through. I believe a number of us also experienced similar dreams shortly before they arrived, although I'm not sure if everyone had one before finding their way here. I think we need to focus on finding the similarities before we get too far ahead of ourselves.
I know a bit about astronomy, but I may not be the best person to ask in terms of the general where we are. I don't recognize the night sky at all, so I doubt I will be any help here.
