Does magic exist in your world? What is it like, and how do others view those who use it? If not, is there something similar to it where you are from?

With so many of us coming from different worlds, it would be a good idea for us to pool our knowledge and resources to figure things out. The rules might not be the same here, but having a base to start from is better than nothing at all, wouldn't you agree?

A bit of both! Some people like you said just have a talent for it, but sometimes just being able to know how to access and use it in new and different ways is enough.

I know a couple of mages who use shortcuts as far as spells - like storing mana in easily accessible forms so they can get around trying to access it directly from the world around them. I'm no mage, though, so I couldn't really tell you the details.

[The concept of storing mana is much easier to Vashti than having to type right now WHY DOESN'T THIS THING HAVE A WRITING FUNCTION]

It could! It's odd, though. For some reason I can't really make a magic spell happen? I wonder if this world doesn't have mana, or maybe it's just a problem with me?

[Hmm.]

Let me guess. You tried to cast magic and it didn't work for you, either.

How did magic work where you're from?

Would it be one you're willing to answer in person?

I admit, you've got me curious.
