[It's been awhile, now that he thinks about it, since he's had a meal.]
I don't want to be a bother though! It's just I'm not really used to taking care of things. I had a butler for that and well...it's not really safe to use a stove when you've got a blindfold! Aha.
no subject
[Is he not blind...?]
no subject
I wear a blindfold because I don't want to make a mistake I can't fix.

[A beat.]
Powers from home don't seem to work here. Maybe your eyes are fine?

[If he could somehow be 100% certain that the curse was gone, that it wasn't just dormant and wouldn't come back...maybe he could be free. The thought excites him but the fear of harming someone innocent is, well, petrifying in its own right.]
I was looking for a cure actually, before all of this. I'm okay though! I'm used to being like this. I've lived like this for a reallllly long time!

But come on, the kid's gotta be maybe thirteen at most.]
Yeah? How long?
no subject
Umm...definitely over a thousand? It's been awhile.
no subject
What.

It's um...well, my sister and I? The one who ate me? We were experimented on and turned into weapons. I was supposed to be the fail safe if she ever went rogue.
[Is he saying too much? Babbling? He doesn't even really know who Prompto is but he's lonely and frankly kind of terrified, even if he's not showing it. It's easier to just ramble and talk than sit in silence by himself.]
Whatever they did to me stopped me from growing up. Kind of sucks, y'know? It'd be kind of nice to be tall.

Also fuck those guys.]
Whoever those people are? They're seriously fucked up, doing that to a kid.
[...Idea.]
Hey, where're you at? You mentioned being hungry--I can bring some stuff over to your place!
no subject
Oh I'm at the Coven for now. They're still trying to figure out a place to put me since, well...y'know.

action?
action!! :>
[It's only after the feed is cut that Emil realizes, belatedly, that Prompto doesn't know what he looks like. Sure, Emil doesn't have to know stuff like that but Prompto probably would find that, well, useful information.
He never really told him specifically where he was either. Not that he really knows very well himself but, again, probably would've been helpful.
Oops.
So, instead of staying put inside a room that Prompto probably won't be able to find lest he badger the student body, Emil carefully makes his way out of it, counting his steps as he's used to doing and hoping he can manage to find his way to the courtyard. With a few helpful guides from fellow Witches he's seated on a bench, hoping that Prompto might find him in all his bandaged glory.]

Prompto approaches, careful to make his footsteps a bit louder than they might otherwise be so Emil can hear him coming before he speaks.]
Emil?
no subject
The sound of footsteps coming his direction is easily picked up on, his sensitive hearing fixating on Prompto's gait. After so much time and practice in having to use his ears as his eyes he's able to pick out traits about the person said footsteps belong to. Sure, he may not know it's Prompto yet, at least until he opens his mouth, but he can tell his height, gender, general build, even rough age from what he hears. Sure, he doesn't know what Prompto looks like, but at least he's managed to paint himself somewhat of a picture in his mind.
Hearing his name called has him lighting up, a hand shooting up as he waves in Prompto's direction. Oh good, he had managed to find him.]
Oh, hey! You found me! You must be pretty good at hide-and-seek, huh.

[Prompto laughs and sits down next to Emil, setting the box of food nearby.]
The box is on your left. There's curry, bread, and some cupcakes I got on the way over, top to bottom in the boxes. Silverware's tucked into the side of the top box.

[With the detailed instructions, Emil doesn't find any trouble in feeling for the box, only to pop off the lid of the first one and take out a fork. Gingerly he taps along the edge of the container, before letting the prongs sink down. He makes sure to lift the box close to his face, lest he spill on himself, but it's clear he's well practiced and doesn't make a mess. Too bad Prompto can't see his eyes light up with delight at the taste. Sure, it's a bit spicy, but that doesn't make it bad in the slightest.]
Mmm-! It's soo good!

[No really, it is. Color Emil impressed! Not that it takes much to impress him but, y'know. The sentiment is there.]
Is that his job? A cook?

[A politician though? That's pretty wild.]
Oh wow...he must be really important then.
