[ The video comes on and Louis is front and center. He got a grasp on the technology pretty quickly. He's... annoyed, and he's not good at hiding it, either. His tone is just as annoyed. Like. He can't believe he has to go over this. ]

At this point, we may as well carry around a sign.

Meanwhile Konoe notes the information that Louis has only just arrived, and it makes him feel something very uncomfortable all around - sympathy, perhaps, and then something like guilt for forcing such feelings on someone who no doubt doesn't need them - but he tries to ignore that for now.]

[ It sounds...probably way more casual than it should. He knows there's a lot to it. But... well, that's fine. No one needs all of the details. ]

[Konoe has a habit of repeating statements as a question. It's normally not a big deal - in fact, most people might never even notice - but then there are times like this, when what he repeats is so extreme that it comes out blunt at best, extremely rude at worst.

[ He's never really said these out loud. After all, no one at home want to even look at his leg, and Legosi? Well, he's a criminal with a giant black mark on his record because eating another animal is strictly forbidden. While he can see how it would be alarming, the way he says it like that. It doesn't bother him. ]

Connecting with another person, no matter how briefly, is truly an odd experience, but not a bad one.
Instantly, he feels free enough to tease a little, laying on the sarcasm not to make light of everything they've been talking about, but just to prove that returning to lighter topics is still possible.]

That question isn't as easy as it should be. He wants to come out and say something too, but the first thing that comes to mind involves an actual insecurity of his, so he has to backpedal from that in self-protection. His second idea is much better.]

[For cats; for him, a small-town cat. It's probably not as much of an issue in the big city, where territory isn't something a cat can worry about, but where Konoe grew up, it was everything.
He didn't care much about the idea of territory, himself. But territory was still important for collecting food, and when every other cat wanted to try picking a fight with him over it, he couldn't help a certain amount of investment.]
