As so many people ask questions, advertise, or whatever on this thing I figure I have nothing to lose doing the same.

You see I have a particular problem. A pest problem. I'm looking for creative ways to rid myself of this little bug that seems super intent on sticking around. Normally I wouldn't bother with something like this but my usual methods of getting rid of unwanted things?

Oh he's quite a bug all right.
Small. Fragile. Soft, squishy insides.
Uncaring of the territory he meanders into.

Just out of curiosity, what *are* your "usual methods of getting rid of unwanted things"?

Using my words first, usually.

[ Surprised? He doesn't usually start fights! Just... Maybe encourages them. ]

Then maybe open up a Corridor and toss the thing through it. Where it ends up? No one knows.

[ She can only guess at what the hell he means by a Corridor, so she's very much getting the impression this guy just loves using weird metaphors a lot. ]

Right. Well there're these things called "restraining orders"? You could give one of those a shot.

What does this "bug" want from you, anyway?

Never heard of that one before. Doubtful it would keep him from contacting me in some way.
What he wants is to ease his own guilt. It's unfortunate, but we can't be what we once were.
He thinks some stupid bond can fix everything between us but it won't.
It's not the same.

It might not, but typically it means he could be arrested or punished in some other form by the authorities if he did.

I'm not sure I'm getting the whole picture here. Sounds like you two had some kind of relationship and then... What. He broke it off, but still wants to be friends-slash-bondmates? And you don't want anything to do with him unless you go back to whatever you were before?

The "full picture" is more complicated than that.
Oh I'd very much like to go back to when he and I were WE. Can you have a closer relationship than that? Two halves of a whole?
He, of course, doesn't remember our separation. In fact, he doesn't remember anything important at all and yet he nearly caused the death of us.
Not once but TWICE.
So no, I'm not inclined to want anything to do with him in his present state.

Wow. Sounds rough.

I mean, I'll be honest with you, I actually have no idea how literal you're being with any of that? But either way. That's rough.

[ She definitely thinks this person, whoever they may be, is talking about an ex-boyfriend or something, sorry to say. ]

[ Which is fine. Vanitas can leave it hanging to be taken the wrong way. What does he care? ]

Very literal.
It still brings me to the problem of what to do with him since he doesn't seem to want to leave me alone.

Have you considered doing something with yourself instead of doing something *to* him?

Like, illusion magic maybe. Cloak yourself from his sight. Or use a polymorph spell to turn into someone else he doesn't recognize.

I never thought about that no.
Huh. For once I actually feel pretty stupid.

Don't beat yourself up about it too much. I realized right after I suggested that, that I didn't even know for sure if you were a witch or not.

I am a witch though and even before this place I used magic on a regular basis.
It was all geared towards combat, little else. That's probably why the thought never occurred to me.

Well there you go then. Go teach yourself some more utilitarian magic. Illusion magic probably counts for half my spell casting repertoire.

Hah. If I was, do you really think I'd just admit as much on a public network? :P
