[ The wonderful denizens of Aefenglom are treated to Iramaat's dulcet tones - although they're pitched down into something almost like a pout or even despair. ]
This is unacceptable, it really is. [ There's a long-suffering sigh and then she continues. ]
Pulling me across time and space and one thing, but this? Is another. They've changed my ears! My beautiful, beautiful ears...
[ Sounds like someone got their first bit of change since their arrival. And she decides to prove that am oment later with a sepia-toned picture of herself. Her long, pointy elf-ears have been replaced with a pair of ears that more closely resemble those of a deer (and they seem to have shifted slightly up the sides of her head). They've even got that dusting of fur, although it's hard to tell what color it all is. Her expression is incredibly morose and not at all happy. Maybe even a bit overwrought. ]
At least tell me I'm not the only one...? [ Well, she half knows that, but she wants to confirm it. ]

Not much, just enough to be noticeable. [ Like being surprised to find the source of a noise farther than he would have normally expected. ]
Have you had other changes, too?

[ She sighs a long-suffering sigh. ]
This probably won't be the end of it, of course.
no subject
I don't think it is, either. It doesn't feel like it.

[ Harumph. She sighs and there's a long moment of silence. ]
I wonder what's causing this change, anyway. Some property of the world?
no subject
He makes a thoughtful noise. ]
That's what I was thinking. Maybe we're being affected by the magic here.
no subject
[ She's absolutely making that joke right back. ]
Entirely possible. I've known worlds that have had that sort of affect on humans. Never my kind, though...
no subject
You've been to other worlds before this one?
no subject
[ Not here, though. ]

[ He sounds particularly interested in this parallel world she's talking about. ]
no subject
[ She sounds much cheerier now. ]
It really depends, though.

[ He's asking a lot of questions, but it reminds him vaguely of the Metaverse (he knows it's not, but still) and she seems to enjoy talking about it... ]

[ Iramaat pauses. ]
We can alter it to suit our needs. We have... quite a bit of power with regards to how its shaped and perceived, especially by humans who wander in.

[ Akira still sounds intrigued by the concept, but he's gleaned a decent understanding of it from her descriptions. ]
Seems like this world has nothing like that. [ No Metaverse, no Dreaming. Or at least no way to access them. ]
no subject
[ She pauses and there's the sound of her clicking her tongue. ]
What about your world?

[ She sounds disappointed, honestly. ]

[ She laughs. ]
I can't fault you for your love of it, honestly. [ A pause. ]
Any idea what sort of ears those are, anyway? Yours, I mean.

Rabbit. [ He's quiet for half a beat until he clarifies the type of Monster. ] Puca. It might've been hard to tell this early, if my eyes hadn't turned yellow.
no subject
[ Hmm. ] A little convenient that you already know yours, I suppose.
no subject
For what it's worth, I think yours look fine. [ It sounds genuine; they're definitely better than his half-transformed ones for sure. ]
no subject
[ He can't see it, but she's reaching up to poke at one of them. ]

[ She laughs quietly before continuing. A low little chuckle. ]
What's your name, anyway?
