Good evening, everyone. [Comes a very low, inauspicious tone.] I hope this night has treated you all well. [Very nice, though. Very cordial.]
As for myself: I have a question.
Would anyone be willing to help me bake a few dozen sugar cookies?
Ah.
Perhaps ... a bit more than a few dozen.

Don't mind Salieri as he clears his throat, only just a little flustered and grateful that Mettaton can't see the color rising in his face.] Antonio Salieri, yes. That is quite a relief to hear, Signore.
[Alright focus.] More than, in fact. Considering this will be my first time attempting such a feat, your help is sorely appreciated.
Amadeus did mention you were something of a star with a multitude of talents. You were present at our opera, no?

Nonetheless. I'm flattered to hear that he compliments me so... though it's only right to be honest. I am quite talented. Speaking of things Amadeus has said... He called you a director, and a show-stopping one, at that. So. Given that, do you plan to take greater part in your dearest's passion project? He was hoping that you would, after all...
[MTT trails off expectantly.]

Y... yes. I very much plan on taking part and joining the others in caroling. It would simply be unlike Amadeus not to spread his vision and own particular good will. The very essence of sharing one's voice in song or many voices... it's the very meaning of joy.
[He huffs just a bit.] But do not be fooled, I am also going to make sure he avoids trouble. Gifted as my Bonded is... he does tend to stand out.
I'd like to think you two have that in common.

...It's sweet of you. To look out for him while he realizes his ambitions, despite the consequence it could bring. If that's not a way to enable troublesome behavior, I don't know what is!
[For as dubious as that second remark is, he says it with 100% fondness. Because enabling trouble out of troublesome sorts is clearly Mettaton's idea of loving behavior.]
