regardless of whether you like puns or hate them, they grab your attention. someone who likes puns might see a name with a pun in it and be excited to go in because they find it creative and clever. someone who hates puns might roll their eyes, but they're still more likely to go in than before because their attention's been caught. it's a pretty effective strategy.
