Hello everyone!

As many people have noticed, there isn't anything in the way of rock music in this world. So my friend Crow and I have been working on synthesizing the sound of rock music instruments using audio illusions using classical instruments and memory. And I'm happy to say, I think we've pulled off!

So I'm here to present the first rock style song in Aefenglom: Unfathomed Force!

Unfortunately, the process of creating a new song with audio illusions takes a long time, not everyone can learn how to do it, and honestly the quality will never be as good as having it played from a real band.

So I was wondering if there was any people out there interested in reverse engineering instruments that make rock music sound. I can help with giving isolated instrument sounds and tell you everything I know about specs, but I'll admit I'm not exactly an instrument maker. So I can't say it'll be easy. But...seeing how many worlds rock music has reached, I think it'd be a really worthwhile project.

A painted lute.

Haha, sorta I guess.

The lute is like a grandfather to the electric guitar, so there is a family resemblance.

What’s the difference between that and bass?

To put it simply, bass guitar can play lower notes than a regular guitar.

Like....in the song, you can identify the violin, right? That's the melody of the song, and the instrument that switches off with the violin sounds is an electric guitar. In more traditional rock songs, the violin part would be a singer with lyrics, but we thought that'd be too distracting.

The deeper sounding instruments underneath that melody are forming the beat and rhythm. That's the bass guitar and drums, and they're the foundation of the music.

Does that make sense?

And you know, if you're ever interested, I'd be happy to give you a few guitar lessons. I only have acoustic guitars, but the way you play them is pretty much the same as an electric.

I didn't stop to think about that, but we can try it sometime. [ he won't. use it. where he's going, but. he could have the experience. ] Long fingers shouldn't make it harder than it looks.

[He half-expected Eren to tell him no. Eren had that tunnel vision, and it's easy to see how guitar didn't fit into that. So when he says yes, it comes as a happy surprise. An opportunity he's more than eager to jump on]

Yeah! If anything, your claws would probably work to your benefit. You won't need a guitar pick like most players.

How about next time you visit during late night?

[Whenever that may be. Maybe Eren won't use it where he's going, but it was a chance to show Eren a bit more what was outside the walls he made for himself along his path. ]

I don’t know yet. It’s kind of a blur of mixed feelings.
