is anyone not going on the expedition that could keep an eye on Cezar for me?

[Attached is a picture of black pug, with heavy scarring over the right eye. His tongue is lolled out of his mouth happily, and the old wound doesn't seem like it bothers him.]

he is from my home. not sure how, but he came with me through the mirror.

yeah. got a dog with me here that was a teammate back home. and my bondmates got a petalwolf, which is some kinda plant-dog.

good thing he got to come with you. least it means you get something familiar here.

yes, I am grateful he's here with me. it means I have to keep him safe, though.

[Oh boy, does he...!!! Hector will shortly receive two photos- both in the sepia-stained style of pictures that the Watch takes. The first is of a small, white shiba-inu in a dapper looking vest, mouth open and tongue half out as he sits for the camera. The second is a bit harder to see- the creature is vaguely canine-shaped, there are eyes peering out from under the bushy leaves and fronds, but it certainly looks like a dog made out of plants.]

Belas the petalwolf. hes from here. Koromaru's the white dog and hes from the same place i am.

[Oh no he's so cute!! But she can't bring an animal back to the house for however long people are off on the expedition without asking for permission from her housemates. And they already have a cat and a snake....]

What were you hoping for such a person to do to keep an eye on Cezar?

to either take him home with them until I get back or come by my apartment to feed him and let him out a couple of times a day. the former would likely be the lesser imposition.

[It is a big ask for a stranger, he knows.]

I would have to ask Lady Edelgard for permission first if I was going to take him back to the house, but if it is feeding him and letting him out, I would be happy to do that!
Though I have never looked after a pet before. So I might not be the best choice.

[She doesn't say anything about the offer of pay, because she's caught between "I'd do it for free for a cute animal" and "I should help to support my household!!"]

[Hector is willing to trust a child with his dog, so long as the child is someone who loves animals like he does. He's not going to do it if it is a hardship, though, or if it puts the child at risk of getting into trouble.]

If your housemate does not approve, maybe you can watch him for a day and I can make other arrangements for the rest of the time.

She could also go asking Hubert and Bernadetta, but she knows that if Edelgard doesn’t tell her to ask them as well, that means that the emperor has spoken and it is now household policy.]

Is Cezar okay around cats?
Lady Edelgard has a cat, so he is not allowed in if he would chase them.
But if he will not hurt the cat, he may stay with me.

yes. i'd leave him with a week's supply of his food and the blanket he likes to sleep on.

I won't be on the expedition if you need someone to leave it with.

There are a few people who are available to keep an eye on him, so he won't be too much of a burden of any one person. I can let him meet you and see if you get along.

he knows how to fetch and how to shake, but he's also spoiled, so good luck getting him to do them on command.

there are a few volunteers, so i may split up the shifts so it's not too much work for any one person.

[Not that Cezar is much work, but it also ensures that Cezar has multiple playmates while Hector is away.]
