Hello. I have met some of you but I know that there are many of you who I have yet to come across. My name is Justine. I am not a fighter, like most of the people brought here, but I hope to sell the skills I do have. I was a caretaker in my previous life. I can cook, clean and fix minor tears in fabric.

I can also crotchet and I'd be happy to take commissions to those who wish to get a head start on winter. [Ignore the fact that it's spring.]

If money isn't an option, I would also be interesting in trading. I would like to learn to fight but if nothing else we can come to some sort of arrangement. I am a witch and once I perfect my potion making, I hope to sell those as well.

Yes, that's right but yarn is thicker.

It's usually used for blankets, shawls, scarfs, hats and other smaller pieces of apparel that are used to stay warm. It's very thick.

Cloth-making is outside of my experience, I fear. How do you shape it?

Well, it depends on the cloth. Most are thin threads that are weaved together. What I make isn't like that.

Mine is larger loops that create a thicker surface. It's a little different from fabric though it might be easier to understand if you can see and feel the difference.

I'm sure it would be. It all sounds very labor-intensive. This is how you keep warm?

It depends. My home has a fireplace but I have a few blankets.

It's the sort of thing that you only have to make once or you can buy them.

Is... Spandex made the same way, or is that only possible to create through industrial means? I know there are fabrics called synthetics which are divided from natural, but is that because of the source of the fibers or how they are processed?

That weaves plastic with cloth. [More or less.] And can only be done with machines or probably magic. It isn't something I've explored since arriving here.

I don't know how they're actually made. It's much more complicated than turning straw into thread.
