A request [text]; un: Berserker
i'm looking for someone with good morals to bond with flat escardos. i'm bonded to him and that's fine -- i'm not looking to annul the bond or anything like it. if you're not inclined to bond with him, then being willing to explain why the behaviors he considers normal are not normal is good enough.
he is basically a wild animal in human form. he is friendly and outgoing, but don't be lured into a false sense of security by this facade. he is chaotic and strange and will not stop talking once he starts unless you find a way to forcibly silence him.
this is an incomplete list of behaviors he considers normal:
i could go on, but then i would spend way too much time writing this post. you get the idea. he has no concept of manners or propriety and doesn't know how to conduct himself around other people. when things are explained to him, he seems to understand, i'm just not the person to explain these things to him.
any offers of help are appreciated. i can get you in contact with him easily...he'll likely reply here, so if you're interested in being his moral compass, you can speak with him directly.

this is an incomplete list of behaviors he considers normal:
- experimenting on friends without telling them they're a part of an experiment
- conducting loud experiments at odd hours
- nearly burning down the house while conducting pointless experiments
- living in conditions that would embarrass a raccoon
- trying to get people to eat wax

Just make sure he doesn't take this the wrong way.
He really cares for you, you know.

he already took it the wrong way and i expected that, too.

But why do you think another Bond is the way to help him?

Did he do something in particular that made you think you need help?
I'm not his keeper, but I am his friend. And yours.
[ And despite what he says, all that Flat has told him does make Waver feel a little... responsible for him. In a strange way that doesn't make any sense, considering Flat isn't even his student. Not really. Not yet. Not ever, probably, considering everything that's happened here.
But still... Flat clearly looks up to him, for better or worse. Waver won't even pretend to understand him, but the fact is that, somehow, he's also come to care about and feel tied to Flat. They might not be Bonded in that way, but they share a different, intertwined, confusing bond all the same. ]

i can't tell him why these things are wrong when he doesn't even have a basis for what is and isn't normal human behavior. i also am not the person to tell him what's right or wrong considering my daily life used to be nothing but violent murder.

[ Oh, hang on. Back up, he missed one. ]
A FIRE?! Where? In your new place?
We just talked about this!
no subject
no. not since that...incident. he's been ... somewhat good. there are still strange, loud noises at 3am, but no fires.
no subject
[ though seriously. WHY?? ]
Okay, good. No fires. I TOLD him to be considerate of you as roommates. So much for that.
wait, what incident?

Dirt-related...
Do you want me to talk to him?
[ It's awkward feeling like Flat's... not babysitter exactly, but maybe "polite behavior compass"?
But Diarmuid lives there, and as his Bonded, Waver instinctively feels a strong stake in the place. It's still his territory, even if it's not his house. ]

Still, since he appears to take my opinion more seriously than most, I might as well try to use that power for good.
Please tell me about the "dirt incident" I'm burning with curiosity over here...

no. it's just another stupid thing he's done. it's not as interesting as it sounds.
