The Network: May, An Inauspicious Arrival

The Watches Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course! Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

If you're within a city then you're within the borders. The only real danger would be if you're within a smaller exposed settlement or in the wilderness.

As for the resurrections I don't know from where the bodies are curated but this world's magic being able to secure souls doesn't surprise me, not if it's able to open portals between dimension with ease.

I'm suggesting that the bodies of the dead are being manufactured, at least, or that their souls are possessing others who are newly deceased and manipulated to share their appearance.

...how? I mean, what are your thought about how bodies would be manipulated to look like other people...? As a science girl, specifically biomedical engineering, I'm incredibly curious.

You want to apply science to a world like this one? I suppose you could, but I would guess the answer is more in line with how people's bodies are mutating to take on monstrous appearances.

Unless you have yet to encounter that. Are you locked indoors somewhere? Are you not a Witch? Irrelevant, maybe.

In my world it would be achieved using jutsu.

Magic is just science that we haven't figured out, yet. So why not? What do you mean monstrous? Elaborate?

Where you're from that may be the case. In my world it's more like a bastardization of it. I have no intentions of giving you a history lesson, merely to warn you to be ready to shift your perspective.

Everyone brought to this place is given a designation: witch or monster. Witches are able to perform spells from various schools of magic while monsters take on traits of their assigned creature and usually show more obvious physical symptoms. Fur. Horns. Extra limbs. It's sometimes unseemly.

Focus on understanding this world before asking me about jutsu, also. While I've learned about Google it's not to compare it to anything here; you'll need to visit a library.

Shouldn't be but it is, so. You can ASK. Interrogate is a little harsh and not a great way to get answers from a total stranger, but you can ASK. I'm not going to promise to answer some questions.
