[ the video feed starts and reveals a boy with short brown hair and sharp teeth. yep, it’s ya boi, lancey lance. the background is nothing but a white wall with the corner of a pillow peeking out from the bottom of the frame. despite the dull background, lance’s smile is bright, eyes wide with enthusiasm. he grins toothily into the camera and gives a little wave just as he starts speaking. ]
What’s up, Aefenglom! Lance here, for those of you who don’t know me yet! I figured now would be the perfect time to take a survey since there’s a lot more of us here now — man, where did you all come from?

I'm from Cuba. [ he's proud of it, too! ] I wasn't there when I got pulled here, but I was born and raised there.

It's pretty nice. Wouldn't wanna call anywhere else home, really -- but I haven't been back in a while. Moved to the U.S. to study so I could become an astroexplorer, got launched into space and then showed up here.

Thanks, man. That...actually means a lot. I've been pretty homesick lately. [ a small laugh, then: ] Anyway, why don't you tell me about what Japan's like? Do you like it there?

Can't blame you for that. [He misses his little brother sometimes.] It's a big place so I haven't been everywhere in it. But I've liked it. Lots of different kinds of foods to try 'nd we got great theater there too.
