anyone know how turning into a monster will affect body modifications? or how the modifications might affect turning into a monster?

A metal-infused skeleton and cybernetics. Helps resist damage, poison, that sort of thing.

Did you experience any strain on your body?

At the time. Worth it, though.

Recent strain? No. If anything, I've been doing less.

I'd imagine so. Else why bother with it.

Dunno, but raiders still bother with hair dye in the apocalypse, so... guess there are plenty of people willing to do weird things.

Other than my intense radiation sickness that I had when I arrived, no. And that's been taken care of. I mean, the thought of it being a mutation of some sort had crossed my mind, but...

[ But she really, really doesn't want that to be the case. ]

I mean, if I'm turning into something that isn't humanoid, I'd like to not rip out all of my very literal internal wiring.

( a soft, contemplative noise. he's been to enough sketchy cantinas in his life that he knows better than anyone that there'll always be someone putting looks over good sense - and even their own survival.

evidently, this is just a risk of sentience and not a wholly (presumably) human trait. )

I'm surprised they were able to handle it.

( then again, they're in a world where magic is a thing. perhaps he should be suspending his disbelief a little more. )

Have you spoken to the healers?

There was a girl, Clarke; another from the mirrors. She had something to help from her world, similar enough to what we use in mine. That took care of a good chunk, and the healers did the rest.

[ Lex is, admittedly, also surprised that the healers were able to manage it - but her Pip-Boy, at least, says that the radiation poisoning has passed. ]

About this? Maybe not as much as I should have. [ There's a frustrated noise. ] I'm used to being "the doctor's kid" - gotta know my shit. And here, I... don't. Not as well as I'd like.

regardless, lex is alive when she might otherwise have perished miserably. perhaps her run of good luck will continue. )

They likely have a better idea of what's happening than any of us, given that this is their world.

I've heard some things about magic and engineering being combined. Not much about anything being integrated with people, but... yeah. They'd be the place to start. Thanks.
