[Some people might recognise the voice, some might even remember her making enquires about monsters and recommendations for good books in the library. Or not, it'd been slow progress for the fae. Because she'd found that...books were so, so dry. They made her want to sleep. So she'd been surprised to find a book that she could get through. It's information though-]

Is it true that really powerful vampires have diamond-like skin that reflects sunlight back instead of being burnt by it?

Why's that? From what I've heard it's a sign of strength, that they don't need to hide away.

I have no intention of being here long enough to see such a thing happen to me, but diamonds sparkle. Would you wish to walk the streets looking like you bathed in glitter?

I've already done that in the dream...[And starting to do that outside of it to! Fae dust...It's great. As they could probably tell from how dry her voice was.]

[Honestly, that could mean a couple of things when it comes to this place. Just... making sure.]

Yes...The dream before I woke up here. Though I changed a lot during that, for a while I was a puca, then a turnskin.

Yes. I woke up in the mirror hall... Wouldn't I have had to be asleep or knocked out to dream in the first place?

[No strangeness, just her being a human brick.]

It sounds as if you had a very different experience of travelling here than I did.

How did you arrive then? ...I was told it was normal for new people to appear in the dream, then in the hall after.

I just remember catching sight of my reflection, and something drew me to it. The next moment, I was here.

[Catching sight of his own reflection not being an entirely unusual thing for Red Wine, but falling through it was new.]

Strange...I definitely wasn't near a mirror. They'd had all been destroyed by air pressure. [Of giant feet stomping around.] Unless a blade would count as a reflective surface?

[judgementor]

I think it would, if it was clean enough to see yourself in.

[He does enjoy a small mystery.]

It was very dusty...But normally I would be able to see myself.

[Mystery solved. Mostly. It still didn't explain why she'd been pulled through but hey...the little things.]

[He lets out a soft breath.]

I was beginning to think we would have some kind of mystery on our hands.

I think we already have too many of those. Unless you know something the rest of us don't.

Not that I'm aware of. [He does actually find a small smile for that.]

I tend to stay away from detective work if I can help it.

I try to do the same. [Though she'd had to do more of that here. And there was no Armin to help.] It's a pain. [There's a huff. Thinking of you slum thief that she had to help track down the other month.]

Mm. It is. There isn't always a benefit to putting yourself where you aren't necessarily supposed to be.

[Sometimes there is, but is it ever wholly positive?]
