[Some people might recognise the voice, some might even remember her making enquires about monsters and recommendations for good books in the library. Or not, it'd been slow progress for the fae. Because she'd found that...books were so, so dry. They made her want to sleep. So she'd been surprised to find a book that she could get through. It's information though-]

Is it true that really powerful vampires have diamond-like skin that reflects sunlight back instead of being burnt by it?

The ones here? No. Back home for me, that was someone's "artistic liberties" on vampire lore for their story. It may possibly be true for another world beyond anyone's here so far but....honestly I don't want to think about it.

That sounds like some of the bugs. Their asses flash and then they try to fly away...The book didn't say anything about it being defensive though.

I was looking up different monsters in the library and found a book on turnskins and vampires. [The sound of movement.]

It did say these vampires had been isolated from humans for a hundred years at least.

There's a part about how there's only one child that was part human, part vampire... I wouldn't say there was anything else new other than the skin though.

In the case of sparkling undead, it's less a specific defensive tactic and more.. how would you react if something started shimmering when you didn't expect it to?

It's in a book I'm reading about turnskins and vampires. [Reading, a rairty for her to do something not physical.] I know a few but none of them mentioned anything like it.
