As a Witch, I find myself requiring a 'Bond'.
[Mogget has no desire to experiment with pushing the boundaries of his ability to contain magic in this place, and feels it would be far more sensible to secure an immediate outlet. Working these communication devices with paws is an effort in itself, but he's managed to set it mostly upright and facing him.
Addressing the other Mirrorbound is a small white cat with green eyes.]
If you believe you would have something to offer in that regard, I invite you to put it forward.

No, but most know something useful for going out...If you're going out of the bright wall.
no subject
And magic is useful in its own right, when correctly used.

But if you got a bond and they went out of the city it could break. So you need to know if they plan on traveling.
[That was kind of the point she'd been trying to get at.]
no subject
[He pauses a moment to yawn as the bell around his neck rings quietly.]
And I have no issues with travel. It would be interesting to see what occurs outside of this city.

At the moment, a whole lot of snow. The seasons are opposite out there, it's a pain.
no subject
[And confidence, and many other things, but the most precious of those is time.]
Snow, you say? That should be a sight.
no subject
Would it? Is snow rare where you're from? ... Though the snow might help you get around out there. [He could get lost in it.]

[Before Sabriel came along, how long had it been since he actually left the house? Terciel and he had been bound, in their way, but never much beyond cordial with one another.]
But you may be right. I should test it for myself.
no subject
When I arrived here it was almost up to my knees. [And she'd arrived in just her shirt, trousers and boots...Not nice.] ...You should probably get heating charms before you go. I don't think a hat and gloves would be of much use for you.
[As funny as it would be]
no subject
[Still, he remembers snow. White. Cold. Sticks in his fur when it melts and re-freezes. He'd rather perch on someone's shouder.]
Heating charms sound a fine idea. There are some useful things here.
no subject
[Which might be another issue for him.] Have you worked out how you're going to do things like that? I've heard there are spells that let you summon things.
[Given he didn't have pockets...Or hands.]
no subject
[Like transmutation. Being able to summon items from the air would be a useful one to look into as well.]
I intend to be able to sufficiently protect myself.
no subject
I'm guessing the Coven isn't giving you any issues? [Somewhere else a talking cat might have gotten attention. But here? Even she wasn't suprised anymore.]
no subject
[He hum-purrs curiously at her question.]
What issues do you suppose they might give me?
no subject
Unless they taught you how to lift things without hands straight away?
no subject
[After all, not having hands in a world which does not cater to him is going to become a chore very quickly. He can't keep going to Momo every time he wants something.]
But I wouldn't say that the Coven is giving me any issues. They've been rather obliging.
no subject
They are...Even if they're too nice some times. [But she's done, the Coven's habits of being nice to the mirrorbound wasn't something she wanted to get into.]
no subject
[You said it, Mikasa, and now he's all kinds of curious.]
In what ways are they too nice?
no subject
[Which to someone in a place where the government had just rolled over for the nobles, was very surprising.]
no subject
[That alone makes Mogget wonder what people here really think of the Mirrorbound. Clearly the Coven believe them to be important, but everyone else..]
Interesting, though I would say not arresting people who have no choice in arriving here is a minimal requirement for civility.
no subject
They were important enough that the rich here were uprooted for them. It didn't add up.]
no subject
[Mogget is thinking much along the same lines as Mikasa. If they're simply 'nobodies', their arrival uprooting the native rich of this place makes no sense. For it to make sense, then...]
I wonder if we are perhaps more important than we are being told.
