[Rather than a person, this video opens on an image from the Underground - heavily infected veins through the earth where the Red Death algae seems to begin, and the signs of a less virulent pink moss beyond if one looks closely enough at the image.]

So I know everyone down here is gonna be pretty busy trying to figure out how to deal with this Red Death problem, but it looks like these infected veins are a big part of it and I want to try to deal with them. If we can purge them kinda like that leyline through the forest a few months ago, I think it'd help, but I'll need a lot more Witches than just me and we'll also need Monsters to back us up while we work. Don't worry if you're new, I did this in my first month here, just let me know and I can show you how to do it. It's pretty much about pushing clean magic in to force the infection out, so even someone who's recently gotten in touch with their magic can throw in with us and it'll make a bigger difference the more people we can get together!

[Momo finally turns the camera on himself, looking pretty serious for him but also with...some kind of weird semi-transparent pink bubble shield over his mouth and nose. The joys of trying to bash together a consistent anti-spore shielding spell through trial and error.] I'm sending a message to the Matriarch too and I hope we can get some locals, but anyone who can help, whether you need a bit of guidance on it or not, is totally welcome! This is gonna be a big job, but I think it'd really help to strike at the source of the problem, even if you can only be here for a little while. Every bit would count. If you've got any questions before you come, I can answer them here, otherwise we can organise things when you get down here! I'll be in the circled tunnel.

[Attached to the post is a hand-drawn, seemingly recent "map" with the problem tunnels marked in red, all smaller ones, plus one in a fairly central position circled. It's essentially more of a marker of where the tunnel entrances are relative to other tunnels and what edge of the city they're on, but it's at least enough to position oneself.]

Other experienced characters are welcome to help show the method to newcomers as well, Momo just wants enough people to be able to do a decent attempt at a purge! You can also let me know OOC if your character would be involved so I have an idea of what kind of numbers he'd end up with, via Plurk/PM/game Discord depending on your pref. The main thing to know is that this is targeted particularly around where the Red Death begins in the tunnels since purging entire tunnels wouldn't be possible in this amount of time.]]

Flushing out the bad magic? That sounds... like a big and great plan! Count me in!

[Papyrus is in some other branch of the tunnels, sans air bubble, and a fair dusting of spores caught in his fur and bone as a result. He's bouncing on the edge of his feet at the notion.]

But, you said monsters are for back-up. Are we being bodyguards...? Or helping cycle magic, like with those batteries?

[At least Momo figures a skeleton isn't going to have too much of an issue with needing to breathe, so that's an advantage. Either way, he grins easily at the question.]

Bodyguards. The times I've done this sort of thing before, they've always said Monsters watching people's backs is really important, because the Witches are focusing so much on the process. So we need people who can keep an eye out for us - and drive threats away, because we're putting a lot of magic into it and we might not be able to fight effectively even if we do notice something.

So focused on magic that you can't fight? Wow, magic here really is different...

[Maybe he isn't too envious of witches, after all. The notion that the really complicated things would distract him from the world around him that much... No wonder there aren't too many witches specialized in entertainment. Even outside Aefenglom's laws.]

Where are we starting? And when??

I mean, it's the only magic system I know, so I can't say much about that. [Momo shrugs almost apologetically. He's encountered a whole lot of people here who have magic in their own worlds that's distinct from what exists here, but in his case it's just stories and this is the first actual experience he has with it.]

I posted a map with the first message, if you get back to the underground city you should be able to find your way to the tunnel I'm in. And "as soon as possible" would be nice, but I might need a couple of hours to see if I can get some extra help. But I don't mind starting on my own if you want to come back me up.

[He saw that, and very definitely looked at the map before jumping into the conversation. Papyrus, always prepared... Except for the times when his enthusiasm got away with him. Which this for sure isn't one.]

If I remember right, I'm a little ways away from there... But I'm fast! I'll be there before you know it.

I have petalwolf familiars, so I think I can imagine how fast a wolf-y turnskin would be! [Momo sometimes races his petalwolves, and while he's very fast and fit for a human, dogs have a colourful variety of advantages on that front.]

I'll keep an eye out for you. Until then I'm just trying to suss out anything that's already in this part of the tunnel myself.

[Whether that means chasing it off or, in the more aggressive cases (and cases of bugs and things too small to easily do that with), freezing it.]

[It's true, as Papyrus has found this last year and change. Fast as he can be as a skeleton, he's even faster when he shifts to four legs. Maybe it's aerodynamics. Maybe it's just better balance.]

Now, I'm going to put my watch away while I run... Do you want me to pick anything up, before I meet with you?

[If it's easiest for him to just go back to the city and then seek out Momo's circled tunnel, he could probably make it to the shop before the rest of whatever group gathers up.]

I think I'm good for the moment! I ate before I came and pretty much everyone else is gonna come through the city anyway...besides that I can't think of anything that I'll need right away.

[Healing supplies for minor infections would help, but with Elliot coming and a decent supply of that moss from above ground in the city, he figures that's something that should resolve itself before too long.]
