As for why I didn't do that, I'm not going to maim someone over a temp job. I mean, really, I have standards on when to use force. If she honestly tried to discredit me, I would've just walked out. The last thing I'd want is to give locals a reason to distrust us Mirrorbound.

Besides, I was thinking of possibly starting my own business so I won't ever have to work in a place like that again.

Really? What'd you have in mind? Before I start asking about the nitty-gritty 'do you have capital or is this where you ask for donations'. Cause I'm willing to pony up if I get discounts. Besides, I don't really spend my money on much, save food and cat-who-sleeps-on-my-face.

An izakaya. Or at least the closest I can get to one, given the fact I can't recreate all the traditional recipes. Nothing super fancy really, with a rotating specials menu and something smaller in scale that I can handle myself.

Of course you'd get a discount. Uh, a Housemates and Bonds discount, yeah. I'm still in the planning phase plus I still need to find a good place for it.

Yeah recreating some dishes would be difficult. Certain ingredients are hard to come by if not down right impossible. I've made nice with some of the fisherman and they let me buy from them directly if I'm up early in the morning. If you want, I can introduce you and order in bulk when you have your izakaya up. I'd do the same with the butcher but that's currently a work in progress.

Thankfully, my cooking isn't solely focused in Japanese cuisine. I can take any ingredient challenge thrown my way.

That would be great! Thank you! Of course, I'd appreciate any feedback you have for me as well. The coven wasn't kidding when they said some locals don't think highly of chimeras so trying to buy from can be tricky.

Sure I can do that. You'd also have to get up early if I'm going to introduce you and I mean really early. The kind of early where you want to murder whoever was responsible for waking you if they don't put a cup of coffee in your hands kind of early. Don't murder me of course, I'm too good looking to die.

No worries. Waking super early is my usual thing since, you know, with raising kids and sometimes dealing with an occasional monster attack? Name the time and place and I'll be there. With coffee and later breakfast on me.

You forget cats are natural predators that sleep a lot so of course they'd have a lot of energy when they are awake.

Let's just say it takes one to know one. I know you're determined to get back into shape, but don't ignore your body's needs.
