It does not have to be complicated. You merely need to find a Bondmate that can tolerate you and that you can tolerate in turn. Their purpose in your life is to provide a source of magic to feed off of in order to keep your mind intact, should you be a Monster. If a Witch, then your partner's primary purpose is to enhance your magical output and keep you from going mad and bursting with magical overload. There needn't be any more than that.
