I don't think so. People back home all have these nanomachines inside our bodies so that they can track us.

If something was gonna happen to me, it probably should've happened by now.

Imagine a piece of shit government, or a corrupt mega-corporation.

They're on top of the world with nobody to challenge them.

How do you hold on to that power?

By taking it away from everyone else.

By reminding everyone of who's in charge, and that they know what you're doing. Always.

And there's a few benefits to that.

For starters, I can actually live comfortably and not have to worry about paying a $10,000 monthly rent.
