Warnings: Mentions of sex & pregnancy, b/c I know that makes some people Uncomfy.

So it's pretty obvious that being here changes people in ways that can sometimes be hard to expect, what with all the magic and monstrous traits but does anyone know if there are impacts on other biological functions?

Like...

Well.

[God, how do they say this without giving up the ghost entirely. They can't just come out and SAY things. They would rather die.]

Does being undead impact what vampires are capable of? Do the animalistic traits of most other monsters impact other physical aspects besides what's visible? Turning into a monster is basically like going through some bizarro puberty so, like. What's up with that?

Basically I'm asking if monsters can get pregnant or do they become infertile like some of the hybrids that exist in real life - obviously native ones aren't but does being something else before change that?

[Now it's time to go hide in shame and embarrassment and try not to think about the turn their life has taken.]

Sir Everett,

Is this truly not a matter among your people? A great many young Nobles in Fodlan would appreciate if such were true in our homeland!

[no niceties when Everett is SO DISTRAUGHT]

Certainly not! Children can only spring from those who wish to have a child. Perhaps not to raise that child together, my people do not as such, but it can't merely happen! Out of random chance? This sounds wildly absurd.

Such is the norm in my land, Sir Everett.

Any intimate coupling can result in children. For people with certain magics in their blood, such as myself and those decent from other Noble families, this can lead to a certain.. complexity where women in the villages hope to couple with Nobles and bear their children in an attempt to raise their financial and social status.

That is just one example. There are additionally situations where women carry children against their wishes and other such acts that are simply cruel and abusive. This is a ... difficult matter, to put it delicately.

This was also why, in my prior attempts to find a wife when I was younger, I never made such overt moves on a woman without her knowing consent. While I may have shamed myself with how hard I pushed at times, going further was unthinkable. Beyond ruining both of our reputations... bastard children are not taken kindly in the circles of high society.

No such situations can occur in Myddvai! Majesty Ygrayne oversees the creation of new life through her magic. Perhaps that is the difference? That a Deity of my land is interfering-? And with fine reason! She could never allow such inequity and cruelty.

I'm unsure if this applies to us Mirrorbound or to the natives of this world. I certainly didn't think to fret!

[he will now tho]

Perhaps that is the case. Despite what others from my realm may say, the reigning Deity of our lands has not seen fit to intervene on our behalf for over two millennia. Even if she does exist, I cannot say that I place much... Faith in her.

[Sorry, Everett. Even when faced with the mortal incarnation of his culture's Goddess, your protege is a simple atheist.]

Once more, your Myddvai is sounding more and more ideal compared to other realms. I find myself jealous that you can lead your life as you do without fear of unnecessary consequences that affect more than just yourself and your actions.
