Warnings: Mentions of sex & pregnancy, b/c I know that makes some people Uncomfy.
So it's pretty obvious that being here changes people in ways that can sometimes be hard to expect, what with all the magic and monstrous traits but does anyone know if there are impacts on other biological functions?
Like...
Well.
[God, how do they say this without giving up the ghost entirely. They can't just come out and SAY things. They would rather die.]
Does being undead impact what vampires are capable of? Do the animalistic traits of most other monsters impact other physical aspects besides what's visible? Turning into a monster is basically like going through some bizarro puberty so, like. What's up with that?
Basically I'm asking if monsters can get pregnant or do they become infertile like some of the hybrids that exist in real life - obviously native ones aren't but does being something else before change that?
[Now it's time to go hide in shame and embarrassment and try not to think about the turn their life has taken.]

Would anyone have an opportunity to find out?

Idk. You'd think the Coven or something would be able to say, like, "hey, turning into a monster is gonna seriously fuck with your body in these specific ways".

My assumption was we were all using wither stock
wither s t a l k,
or not doing anything to risk a pregnancy since we can disappear at any time though given folk have gotten children in riskier situations that's optimistic of me.
[See: Every mage pregnancy he'd ever heard about, ever.]
Also I don't think the Coven knows enough about us yet to say that they're still operating in a world where monsters grow up knowing what they'll be and how they change
We're already different

She didn't need to think about how babies worked when she was turning into a bug. Didn't they lay eggs? Fuck...]
People have been here just over a year now. I don't think it'd have happened yet if it can...

...I mean, typically pregnancies only take nine months, so someone could've popped one out already if they didn't waste time getting to it.

Except I was thinking specifically about if there were any male Monsters that had seahorse as part of their type... (´⊂_`人)
[He's not sure whether that would be a merrow or a chimera, but clearly a valid question.]
It seems like a lot of Mirrorbound are in relationships, though, and I don't think anyone's gotten pregnant yet?
So with how long people have been here it's probably not an issue (●´ω`●)ゞ
[Read: people have been here considerably longer than nine months and likely been banging for that time, it's fine, probably.]

[...Do they really want to consider it?]
If it's not possible, that's a relief...

Maybe a seahorse Monster could just implant other people with their eggs, if that sounds better to you ☆⌒(●ゝω・)
[is this what you wanted, bailey, IS IT]
But I guess you'd have to find one to ask about that...

like a naga and a harpy get together and end up with a snake-bird-person kid
but who knows
i dunno why us being here would change that but who knows. that aint something i feel like testing out.
why you having a scare or something
no subject
I wouldn't say it's a scare, but it's a reasonable concern.
[It's been like a week, it's not reasonable at all.]

[While he might be correct about this, in the case of Mirrorbound, he straight up doesn't think accident babies are possible. In Myddvai they aren't! Both parties need to want a child, this is basic stuff.
He'll be baffled if anybody informs him otherwise]

Dear Cherrypit,
Is there a particular reason why you are worried over such a matter? I have resided in this town for nearly a year, and this is the first conversation I have seen or heard on the subject.
Given our uncertain circumstances, I would certainly HOPE that the non-native residents like ourselves are... infertile, as you say. It would be far too difficult and complex if that weren't so.

Yeah, a man stuck his dick in my vagina and we didn’t use any form of contraceptives.
So, you know, it’s on my mind.

wait
so if you were already a hybrid before turning does that make you doubly infertile?
no subject
It’s probably not a guarantee but it’s definitely a possibility?

That's quite the can of worms you opened there.
Still, the mirrorbound have been showing up here since last year. So we would've heard about a pregnancy or birth at some point since we arrived at least.
...Do you want to take this offline?

i have no hard evidence either way, but here are some facts to consider
on my world, at least one male vampires was able to conceive a child with a human female, resulting in a half vampire. i am not certain if the reverse works as well.
here in this world, so far we have no confirmed cases of any mirrorbound conceiving. considering the amount of time and the frequency with which some mirrorbound fuck, i think it fair to conclude that if conception is not impossible, that it is at least negatively impacted by the process.
if you are concerned, you could ask a witch or a mirrorbound who is skilled in herbalism to mix you up some kind of potion to alleviate your concerns.
no subject
That's kind of what I was thinking... If people have been here for a year, there definitely should have been at least ONE kid or something. Folks are gonna fuck, especially when you're like, a rabbit. Or a faun.
[They consider making a horny joke, but decide against it. Even though faun libido is what brought them here...]
I have less concerns, now, but I'll still consider it.
