Hi everyone! I'm Rikku, and I've been here for a couple of months now. I'm a witch, which is taking some getting used to, but that's not the point of this post.

The other witches say that I'll explode if I don't find someone, and people I know have confirmed it. I really don't want that to happen, you know? It sounds painful and awful, and other people could get hurt too.

Sooooo... are there any monsters out there looking for a bondmate? Or anyone out there with advice on how to find a good one?

I promise I'll be a good bondmate! I'm loyal and friendly and I'll even help you out with things! I'm good with my hands and can help you build or fix whatever you have around the house. I can kind of cook. I'm good with kids. I can braid your hair if you're into that kind of thing.

[She pauses, scratching her chin as she thinks of other selling points and comes up with nothing.]

Well, the witches told us how important it is and intimate it is, and it kind of just sounded like a marriage to me.

Didn't realize they meant that literally until everyone on the network told me. They should do a better job explaining things!

Yeah! I met a nice girl named Leanne. I'm going to help her build a cart and we're gonna see if we get along well enough for bonding!

She's a naga. Which is kind of like a snake.

Well, she's really pretty and she seems nice. Her name is Leanne, and she's a naga, which is kind of snake-y. And she likes tea, because she's going to make tea with the lemon cake we're going to have.

[In summary: she's learned nothing of substance so far.]

A pretty face doesn't mean anything. But if you think you like her, then I guess what's the harm? Bonds're more than just that, though. You gotta make sure you can trust this Leanne person with your feelings, too.

That she won't go sticking her nose where it doesn't belong.

Rikku's slightly taken aback--it's a touching sentiment, especially from Lightning. Her surrogate older sister isn't exactly the warm and cuddly type.]
