For those that knew Her Grace, Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful Queen of the Andals and the First Men, protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, and the Breaker of Chains has been returned to her world.
It also appears that her loyal Queensguard, Ser Jorah Mormont, has followed her.
I am certain that both shall be dearly missed, but I believe perhaps the best way to honor their memory is to not allow those within the slums of this city to be forgotten.
I hope that those among Mirrorbound that are capable shall consider continuing her charitable works in her stead.

[He stops them in the doorway to the living room. It is, as always, immaculate. Any papers he's left on the coffee table are neatly stacked and placed beneath an appropriate paperweight. Pillows are neatly arranged and a blanket on one of the couches is folded to such a degree of perfection, one might question if it is ever used. The sphinx kitten has sprawled itself out in one of Ramesses' favored chairs and appears to be dreaming if the little twitches in his paws and wings are any indication. Still, Ramesses appears to survey the room a moment.]
[He still does not know what to make of it. Is she attempting to continue the bit of banter he gave her and the recent loss of a Bond is amplifying a want of closeness to project more meaning into her words? Or has she been sincerely thinking about this and she is similarly trying to gauge the meaning of his words? In the end, he thinks erring on the side of caution means not treating her question as another piece of banter. It would be better for him to have mistaken that than the alternative.]
Chariot... [As he begins to slowly speak, Ramesses brings his gaze back to her,] I think you already know that to have you so close would bring me immeasurable joy. Mornings are made brighter with your presence and I cannot pretend as though I do not feel your absence acutely when you must return home after staying with me for several nights.
But I would not want to have something like that marred by the absence of another... To ask you now would... [He's uncertain how exactly to describe it, but it would just seem to leave the moment inextricably tied to this loss. And that just seems wrong for such a joyous occasion as having her join his household, never mind to not allow the moment to be hers and hers alone. Ramesses gives her hand a light squeeze.] You are deserving of more than that from me.

She really had been joking, for the most part, a gentle little bit of levity to ease his mood even further, if only little bit. Certainly they'd danced around the point before, and their comfort together had bloomed into a wonderful tapestry that their physical distance didn't seem to fully impact on first glance, but...
He was being serious, and... she could tell it did not come without thought. Thoughts she had dwelt upon herself. And whether or not she could truly balance that with all of the other moving pieces in her life. With Fang, with Kaede, with Akko and Monika... ]
Maybe... we can return to that topic. When you're in better spirits. And I've had time to talk to the rest of my family here about it.
[ But the tone in her voice was clear, even if she was trying to be tempered, to be calm.
She wanted it, too... To never have to spend a night away from him. From all of them. She felt so selfish... ]

I should like that, [he affirms before pressing a kiss to her forehead. Quietly, almost as if weaving a spell to put her mind at ease all the while promising they would take when they were both ready, he says,] Another time.
[Ramesses separates from Chariot slightly, guiding her further into the room.]
I do not intend to let you leave anytime soon, so you had best make yourself comfortable, [he teases, gently guiding the conversation back toward the intended levity.] I shall fetch us glasses and join you shortly.

She sat herself down, evening out her dress, and setting the wine on the end table, waiting for him to rejoin her. ]

[He sets both glasses on the end table before opening the bottle, pouring for the both of them and passing Chariot hers before sitting beside her. Close beside her.]
[There is so very little need for pretense, after all, so he does completely away with it. He does not rest his full weight on her, but there is little mistaking that it is Ramesses that is leaning against Chariot tonight as he wraps an arm around her shoulders and draws her to him. Being still like this, quiet for a moment, allows for the severance of his Bond to sink in more, but keeping her close like this stymies the full effect of it.]

Her eyes rested on the sphinx. Darling thing... so sweet in his slumber. Polite of him, too, to not try to compete for Chariot's attention with his master. ]

I have not yet asked how you spent your day today. [He presses another kiss to the top of her head.] Tell me about it.
[One could interpret this as avoidance. It would not be so strange a thing to accuse Ramesses of considering just how unrelated it is. But there is no resistance within him as far as talking about Daenerys is concerned. Instead, it is more an indulgence of the natural rhythm and normalcy of their relationship, of enjoying the sound of her voice as she speaks.]

[ Morgana's resurgence had unearthed a lot of old trauma, so none of them were really, well... ready for the conversation, but she knew they'd all have to discuss it eventually. For their own good, she felt it was probably best, but she wasn't about to do anything they weren't ready for. ]

It may make the transition easier for those in the orphanage as well to have others that have already completed some schooling. But I am glad to hear their spirits seem to be improving.

What I want more than anything for them is some closure... just to finally be able to grow past what that woman has done to them...

They will with time, my love. I know that is not the ideal and that if you could, you would have it be sooner to alleviate their suffering, but that they have any hope of moving forward at all is because of your efforts.
You must be patient with yourself just as you are with them.
[Because it's really not a matter of being impatient with the children so much as it is that feeling of powerlessness. Of wanting to do more even if that's impossible.]

I'm trying to be, really...
I'm doing what I can. No one's... really asking me to do more. So I'm trying not to square up the demand in its absence.

You needn't worry. I believe there are plenty around you who shall not allow for things to come to that. [Pressing a kiss to the top of her head, Ramesses nuzzles at her gently.] Least of all myself. I shall not allow you to sacrifice more of yourself than is necessary. Happy as I am to share you with the world, I will not allow myself to be robbed even by you.
[To add to his teasing, his arm moves from being wrapped around her shoulders to instead around her waist in mock possessiveness.]

Well at the very least, I'm all yours tonight... [ Chariot hummed, sipping a bit more from her wine before setting her glass aside and nuzzling against his chest. ]
All yours...

Then I shall happily indulge myself in your company without a second thought.
[You know, as though he ever hesitates.]
