Hello everyone!
My name's Elliot Craig, and I'm to announced that starting today, I'm offering music lessons through my business, VII Notes! So if you've ever wanted to learn a music instrument, now's the perfect time! Music can be a great tool to help you get through stressful time. And for you witches, it can be a pretty good channeling tool for magic!
The instruments I'm currently offering are:
Piano
Violin
Guitar
Singing
Recorder (great beginner woodwind instrument!)
My going rates are affordable as well! Standards rates are:
*No group lessons offered currently for piano
And now's an even better time to try out music, because the first lesson is free! Discounts are also available for those with lower incomes. Music lessons will take place either in the barracks or the Aoide Foundation school of music, depending on the instrument. Thanks to the Aoide Foundation for loaning of instruments!
Finally, for those who're interested in just hearing some music, you can find me performing in the Entertainment district on Weekend Evenings at [insert popular street corner] provided there's good weather! In the meantime, please check out a recording of one of my original songs, "Beneath the Bright Sky", featuring piano accompaniment by one of the fine students at Aoide Foundation. [He attaches an audio recording done via the communicator] This song and more will be on my new album, which is currently in the works!
Thank you for listening!
[OOC: All actual lessons will be handwaved, as while Elliot is musically gifted, his player played one (1) clarinet badly]

i'd love to learn to play the piano! it sounds like you're settling in okay, then, elliot?
(also i'd like to hear you sing sometime? i'm always impressed by anyone who can do more than carry a tune.)
no subject
And I think I am, thanks. I'm still getting used to things, but I think I'm over the panic stage. How are you doing?
[Yes. He has a panic stage that's normal enough to call it that]
Eheh, maybe sometime. I'm no opera diva in terms of talent and I'm better at instruments, but I should hopefully be alright.

also, i'm doing okay. i haven't found a bond or anything yet (has anyone???) but i'm definitely settling in to being here...
although i'm still trying to figure out a way home, of course. no joy on the mirror magic yet, though.
no subject
Haha, that's good to hear. I found a bond, but I got lucky. I'm sure you'll find one!
Hm, yeah. I haven't figured out a way home either yet. I can't help but feel it's going to take longer than all of us hope.

so if you were to pick an instrument for me what would you pick?
text
Hmm...probably something portable like a guitar. I can't see you sitting around in one place for long.

I'll show one sometime. You record the music, and you can replay the song anytime using a special device called a record player.

You play all those well enough to teach? That's quite a resume.

I had a phase where I tried to learn as many instruments as I can. I'm not a master guitarist, but I've taught it before.

Then again, I hadn't really been dedicating much time to looking for one.

[there's a lot to get through here, particularly with regard to music lessons, but for now, francel's first question is:]
However did you obtain such helpful contacts within the school?
no subject
Haha, well, I donated a lot of instruments. I've been trying to work on conjuring magic that'd let me conjure instruments, and well-
Because of that, I have a LOT of recorders and simple percussion instruments. Which incidentally, are perfect for beginning music students!
no subject
[some things are universal, it seems... like the sound of recorders being played badly in unison.]
I would love to take you up on a free lesson — that being said, outside of that arrangement, do you suppose you might ask them if I could borrow one of their "pianos" sometime? It has been too long since I last sat down at the keys.
I don't know that I could recompense you, save perhaps with sweets or a warm meal.
