[On the afternoon of the 1st, a disgruntled post goes up on the network.]
Did you know some moths produce silk from their salivary glands? Because I didn't until after I spat out a bunch of string this morning.
[He didn't make that connection immediately, mind you; after the initial utter bafflement, he took the time to go do more research on Fae and the insects they resemble. Nerd.]
Someone let me know if there's a market for organic fae silk. And if you could invent some kind of google or wikipedia while you're at it, that would be appreciated.
[Do you know how LONG it takes to look through PHYSICAL BOOKS]

[It's very cold here, Mikasa. He's used to being much closer to the equator. :(]

want me to make a blanket out of something you've puked up?
[She had such a way with words.]
I guess it might work. I don't think that silk stuff is supposed to be warm but if it's enchanted.
[Unsure. She'd only really worked with the stuff when she was underground or making...underwear. It was a fancy fabric, something cool to touch.]

It's not vomit, come on! And I'd make sure it was clean. Silk is good for warm or cold weather.
[He knew that much already, just from being a rich boy with a penchant for fashion.]
Anyway, it would be a while even if I was determined to do it. There's enough I have to figure out right now...
no subject
If you say so.
I've only been able to afford the stuff by trading in the underground, and that was because they wanted me to do needlework on it.
[And then a moment. He gets a small moment of peace.]
Giant worms pooped their silk out though.
[HAH]

That's great. Thanks. [Is the sarcasm coming through? Does he need to bludgeon her with some italics??] I'm not one of those.
no subject
No. I don't think there are any worm fae.
Though I hadn't heard of any making thread, I thought that was a spider thing.

[Which, honestly, is fine with him.]
So maybe it's rare for us. Lucky me.

At least you might be able to get something out of it.
The only thing the dust is useful for is spells and potions. If you can collect enough of it.
no subject
"Only"? I'd think that would make it more valuable than most things in a place like this.
[Yeah just keep talking like you don't actually know how much it's worth, Ferran.]

But it's a pain in the ass to collect and only specializes need it so it's hard to sell.
[Not that she'd actually gone through with selling any. She'd rather scatter it in the wind. Nearly being sold had soured her too much on the idea of it.]
Just look how much dragon scales sell for.
no subject
Dragons are rare too, right? It makes sense they'd be expensive.
no subject
Demand and all that.
They can grind it into powder like our dust. But the scales can be connected together to make armour and stuff.
no subject
Well, it's not like I'd be able to afford anything like that any time soon, even if I did plan on using it.

Most are big enough to eat a person whole.
no subject
[... hopefully dragons here do not actually tend to eat people whole. They're all sapient... let them all just get along...]

[... and potentially the dragons, should said people be willing to employ less pleasant methods to acquire them.]
